ਧੰਨ︀ਯ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਤਵ ਰੂਪ ਧੰਨ︀ਯ ਪਿਤੁ ਮਾਤ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ॥

dhanay tarun tav roop dhanay pit maat tihaaro |

(He said to her), ‘You are admirable and so are your mother and father.

ਧੰਨ︀ਯ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਧੰਨ︀ਯ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਨ ਹਾਰੋ ॥

dhanay tihaare des dhanay pratipaalan haaro |

‘Your country is commendable and commendable are your sustainers.

ਧੰਨ︀ਯ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਵ ਬਕ੍ਰਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਜਾ ਮੈ ਛਬਿ ਛਾਜੈ ॥

dhanay kuar tav bakrat adhik jaa mai chhab chhaajai |

‘Your face, which is very pretty, is so meritorious,

ਹੋ ਜਲਜ ਸੂਰ ਅਰੁ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਦ੍ਰਪ ਕੰਦ੍ਰਪ ਲਖਿ ਭਾਜੈ ॥੪੩॥

ho jalaj soor ar chandr drap kandrap lakh bhaajai |43|

‘That, even, the Lotus- flower, Sun, Moon and Cupid lose their vanity.(43)

ਸੁਭ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਤਨ ਭਰੇ ਚਾਰੁ ਚੰਚਲ ਚਖੁ ਸੋਹਹਿ ॥

subh suhaag tan bhare chaar chanchal chakh soheh |

‘Your body is blissful and your eyes are coquettish.

ਖਗ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਜਛ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਅਸੁਰ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਮੋਹਹਿ ॥

khag mrig jachh bhujang asur sur nar mun moheh |

‘You are winsome to all, the birds, deer, beasts, reptiles and demons,

ਸਿਵ ਸਨਕਾਦਿਕ ਥਕਿਤ ਰਹਿਤ ਲਖਿ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥

siv sanakaadik thakit rahit lakh netr tihaare |

‘Shiva and all his four sons have languished by looking at your eyes.

ਹੋ ਅਤਿ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਚੁਭਤ ਨਹਿ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੪੪॥

ho at asacharaj kee baat chubhat neh hridai hamaare |44|

‘But the strange phenomena is that your eyes have not been able to penetrate into my heart.’(44)
