ਹੋਇ ਬਿਰਖੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਿਰ ਤਲਵਾਇਆ ।

Tree is there in the world and keeps its head downward.

ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ਸੀਸੁ ਨਿਵਾਇਆ ।

nihachal hoe nivaas sees nivaaeaa |

It stands steadfast and maintains its head low.

ਹੋਇ ਸੁਫਲ ਫਲੁ ਸਫਲੁ ਵਟ ਸਹਾਇਆ ।

hoe sufal fal safal vatt sahaaeaa |

Then becoming full of fruits it bears the stone-blows.

ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਵਤੁ ਧਰਾਇ ਜਹਾਜੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ।

sir karavat dharaae jahaaj banaaeaa |

Further it gets sawed and causes to make ship.

ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਿ ਵਾਟ ਰਾਹੁ ਚਲਾਇਆ ।

paanee de sir vaatt raahu chalaaeaa |

Now it moves on the head of water.

ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਵਤੁ ਧਰਾਇ ਸੀਸ ਚੜਾਇਆ ।੧੧।

Having borne iron-saw upon head, it carries the same iron (used in ship making) across the water.
