Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਤੁਮ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥

tum har setee raate santahu |

O Saint, You are attuned to the Lord.

ਨਿਬਾਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਓੜਿ ਪਹੁਚਾਵਹੁ ਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

nibaeh lehu mo kau purakh bidhaate orr pahuchaavahu daate |1| rahaau |

Please stand my me, Architect of Destiny; please take me to my destination, Great Giver. ||1||Pause||

ਤੁਮਰਾ ਮਰਮੁ ਤੁਮਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤੁਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ॥

tumaraa maram tumaa hee jaaniaa tum pooran purakh bidhaate |

You alone know Your mystery; You are the Perfect Architect of Destiny.

ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸਰਣਿ ਅਨਾਥ ਦੀਨ ਕਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਗਾਤੇ ॥੧॥

raakhahu saran anaath deen kau karahu hamaaree gaate |1|

I am a helpless orphan - please keep me under Your Protection and save me. ||1||

ਤਰਣ ਸਾਗਰ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਚਰਣ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਭਾਤੇ ॥

taran saagar bohith charan tumaare tum jaanahu apunee bhaate |

Your Feet are the boat to carry us across the world-ocean; You alone know Your ways.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੰਗੇ ਤੇ ਤੇ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾਤੇ ॥੨॥

kar kirapaa jis raakhahu sange te te paar paraate |2|

Those whom You keep protected, by Your Kindness, cross over to the other side. ||2||

ਈਤ ਊਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਹਾਥੇ ॥

eet aoot prabh tum samarathaa sabh kichh tumarai haathe |

Here and hereafter, God, You are All-powerful; everything is in Your Hands.

ਐਸਾ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਚਲੈ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਸਾਥੇ ॥੩॥

aisaa nidhaan dehu mo kau har jan chalai hamaarai saathe |3|

Please give me that treasure, which will go along with me, O servant of the Lord. ||3||

ਨਿਰਗੁਨੀਆਰੇ ਕਉ ਗੁਨੁ ਕੀਜੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਜਾਪੇ ॥

niraguneeaare kau gun keejai har naam meraa man jaape |

I am without virtue - please bless me with virtue, so that my mind might chant the Name of the Lord.

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭੇਟੇ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਸੀਤਲ ਧ੍ਰਾਪੇ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੧੩੫॥

sant prasaad naanak har bhette man tan seetal dhraape |4|14|135|

By the Grace of the Saints, Nanak has met the Lord; his mind and body are soothed and satisfied. ||4||14||135||
