Chaupaee

ਦੁਤਿਯ ਬਚਨ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥

dutiy bachan jogee jo kahiyo |

ਸੋ ਮੈ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਬੀਚ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਗਹਿਯੋ ॥

so mai hridai beech drirr gahiyo |

‘What the other things Yogi said, I had kept in my heart,

ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਹੌ ਸੁ ਬਚਨ ਬਖਾਨੋ ॥

jo tum kahau su bachan bakhaano |

ਤੁਮ ਜੋ ਸਾਚੁ ਜਾਨਿ ਜਿਯ ਮਾਨੋ ॥੫੪॥

tum jo saach jaan jiy maano |54|

‘I will tell you but only if you appraise it truthfully.(54)

ਮੰਦਰ ਏਕ ਉਜਾਰ ਉਸਰਿਯਹੁ ॥

mandar ek ujaar usariyahu |

ਬੈਠੇ ਤਹਾ ਤਪਸ︀ਯਾ ਕਰਿਯਹੁ ॥

baitthe tahaa tapasayaa kariyahu |

“In the wilderness, build up a temple, sitting where you do the

ਹੌ ਤਹ ਔਰ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਧਰ ਐਹੋ ॥

hau teh aauar moorat dhar aiho |

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗ︀ਯਾਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਸਮੁਝੈਹੋ ॥੫੫॥

braham gayaan nrip ko samujhaiho |55|

Meditation. “Keeping an idol there, impart the celestial knowledge to the Raja.”(55)
