ਤਾ ਕੇ ਮਿਤ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਪਤਿਯਾ ਲਿਖੀ ਬਨਾਇ ॥

taa ke mit ko naam lai patiyaa likhee banaae |

The Raja wrote a letter to Rani on her friend’s behalf,

ਹਮ ਬਿਖਰਚ ਰਹਤੇ ਘਨੇ ਕਛੁ ਧਨੁ ਦੈਹੁ ਪਠਾਇ ॥੨੬॥

ham bikharach rahate ghane kachh dhan daihu patthaae |26|

‘Money wise I am very much tight, let me have some cash.(26)

ਦੇਸ ਛਾਡਿ ਪਰਦੇਸ ਮੈ ਬਸਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨ ਆਇ ॥

des chhaadd parades mai basaa bahut din aae |

‘After leaving my country I have come to a foreign land.

ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਜਾਨਿ ਕਛੁ ਕੀਜਿਯਹੁ ਮੁਸਕਲ ਸਮੈ ਸਹਾਇ ॥੨੭॥

prem jaan kachh keejiyahu musakal samai sahaae |27|

‘For sake of our love, please do something and help at the time of need.(27)

ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਹੇ ਇਮਿ ਸਮਝੋ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

triyaa tihaare hvai rahe im samajho man maeh |

‘My dear lady, please be considerate, I am forever yours,

ਹਮ ਸੇ ਤੁਮ ਕਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈ ਤੁਮ ਸੇ ਹਮ ਕਹ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨੮॥

ham se tum keh bahut hai tum se ham keh naeh |28|

‘You have others too, but there is none like you with me.(28)
