ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਚਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹਾਂ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਜੁਹਾਰੀ ।

satigur sachaa paatisaahu paatisaahaan paatisaahu juhaaree |

I salute the true Guru who is the true king of kings.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਚਿ ਖੰਡੁ ਹੈ ਆਇ ਝਰੋਖੈ ਖੋਲੈ ਬਾਰੀ ।

saadhasangat sach khandd hai aae jharokhai kholai baaree |

The Holy congregation is the abode of truth where the gates of mind are opened.

ਅਮਿਉ ਕਿਰਣਿ ਨਿਝਰ ਝਰੈ ਅਨਹਦ ਨਾਦ ਵਾਇਨਿ ਦਰਬਾਰੀ ।

amiau kiran nijhar jharai anahad naad vaaein darabaaree |

The fountain of nectar flows here forever and the courtiers play the unstruck melody.

ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਜਲਸੈ ਪਿਰਮੁ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਪੀਵਣ ਭਾਰੀ ।

paatisaahaan dee majalasai piram piaalaa peevan bhaaree |

In the assembly of the kings it is very difficult to drink the cup of love.

ਸਾਕੀ ਹੋਇ ਪੀਲਾਵਣਾ ਉਲਸ ਪਿਆਲੈ ਖਰੀ ਖੁਮਾਰੀ ।

saakee hoe peelaavanaa ulas piaalai kharee khumaaree |

The Guru becomes the beloved butler and makes one drink it, the delight of His tasted cup becomes multiplied.

ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਭੈ ਚਲਣਾ ਮਸਤ ਅਲਮਸਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੁਸਿਆਰੀ ।

bhaae bhagat bhai chalanaa masat alamasat sadaa husiaaree |

Whosoever moves in the fear of loving devotion, he being carefree of the worldliness remains alert.

ਭਗਤ ਵਛਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰੀ ।੧।

bhagat vachhal hoe bhagat bhanddaaree |1|

Kind to the devotees, God, becomes their caretaker and fulfils all their desires.
