Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਪੈ ॥

jaa kai dukh sukh sam kar jaapai |

Those who look alike upon pleasure and pain

ਤਾ ਕਉ ਕਾੜਾ ਕਹਾ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥੧॥

taa kau kaarraa kahaa biaapai |1|

- how can anxiety touch them? ||1||

ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

sehaj anand har saadhoo maeh |

The Lord's Holy Saints abide in celestial bliss.

ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

aagiaakaaree har har raae |1| rahaau |

They remain obedient to the Lord, the Sovereign Lord King. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥

jaa kai achint vasai man aae |

Those who have the Carefree Lord abiding in their minds

ਤਾ ਕਉ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥

taa kau chintaa katahoon naeh |2|

- no cares will ever bother them. ||2||

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਭਰਮਾ ॥

jaa kai binasio man te bharamaa |

Those who have banished doubt from their minds

ਤਾ ਕੈ ਕਛੂ ਨਾਹੀ ਡਰੁ ਜਮਾ ॥੩॥

taa kai kachhoo naahee ddar jamaa |3|

are not afraid of death at all. ||3||

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਦੀਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥

jaa kai hiradai deeo gur naamaa |

Those whose hearts are filled with the Lord's Name by the Guru

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੩੪॥੧੦੩॥

kahu naanak taa kai sagal nidhaanaa |4|34|103|

- says Nanak, all treasures come to them. ||4||34||103||
