ਪਾਰਿਜਾਤੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਛਡਿ ਕੈ ਮੰਗਨਿ ਕਲਪ ਤਰੋਂ ਫਲ ਕਚੇ ।

paarijaat gur chhadd kai mangan kalap taron fal kache |

Leaving the wish-fulfilling tree in the form of Guru, people desire to have the raw fruits of traditional wish-fulfilling tree (kalptaru/parijat).

ਪਾਰਜਾਤੁ ਲਖ ਸੁਰਗੁ ਸਣੁ ਆਵਾ ਗਵਣੁ ਭਵਣ ਵਿਚਿ ਪਚੇ ।

ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਹੋਏ ਕੇਤੜੇ ਕੇਤੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਚੇ ।

ਪਾਪ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਬੀਉ ਬੀਜਦੇ ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਚਹਮਚੇ ।

paap pun beeo beejade dukh sukh fal andar chahamache |

Further sowing evils and virtues remain immersed in pleasures and sufferings.
