Malaar, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਗਲ ਬਿਧੀ ਜੁਰਿ ਆਹਰੁ ਕਰਿਆ ਤਜਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ॥

sagal bidhee jur aahar kariaa tajio sagal andesaa |

I tried everything, and gathered all devices together; I have discarded all my anxieties.

ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਗਲ ਅਰੰਭਿਓ ਘਰ ਕਾ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਰੋਸਾ ॥੧॥

kaaraj sagal aranbhio ghar kaa tthaakur kaa bhaarosaa |1|

I have begun to set all my household affairs right; I have placed my faith in my Lord and Master. ||1||

ਸੁਨੀਐ ਬਾਜੈ ਬਾਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ॥

suneeai baajai baaj suhaavee |

I listen to the celestial vibrations resonating and resounding.

ਭੋਰੁ ਭਇਆ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਮੁਖ ਪੇਖੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੁਹਲਾਵੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhor bheaa mai pria mukh pekhe grihi mangal suhalaavee |1| rahaau |

Sunrise has come, and I gaze upon the Face of my Beloved. My household is filled with peace and pleasure. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨੂਆ ਲਾਇ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਥਾਨਾਂ ਪੂਛਉ ਸੰਤਾ ਜਾਏ ॥

manooaa laae savaare thaanaan poochhau santaa jaae |

I focus my mind, and embellish and adorn the place within; then I go out to speak with the Saints.

ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਮੈ ਪਾਹੁਨ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਉ ਨਿਵਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੨॥

khojat khojat mai paahun milio bhagat krau niv paae |2|

Seeking and searching, I have found my Husband Lord; I bow at His Feet and worship Him with devotion. ||2||

ਜਬ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਆਇ ਬਸੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਆਸਨਿ ਤਬ ਹਮ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥

jab pria aae base grihi aasan tab ham mangal gaaeaa |

When my Beloved came to live in my house, I began to sing the songs of bliss.

ਮੀਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਏ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥੩॥

meet saajan mere bhe suhele prabh pooraa guroo milaaeaa |3|

My friends and companions are happy; God leads me to meet the Perfect Guru. ||3||

ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀ ਭਏ ਅਨੰਦਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਰਜ ਹਮਰੇ ਪੂਰੇ ॥

sakhee sahelee bhe anandaa gur kaaraj hamare poore |

My friends and companions are in ecstasy; the Guru has completed all my projects.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਦੂਰੇ ॥੪॥੩॥

kahu naanak var miliaa sukhadaataa chhodd na jaaee doore |4|3|

Says Nanak, I have met my Husband, the Giver of peace; He shall never leave me and go away. ||4||3||
