ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ।

jog jugat gurasikh gur samajhaaeaa |

Guru has explained the technique of yoga to the Sikhs.

ਆਸਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਿਰਾਸਿ ਨਿਰਾਸੁ ਵਲਾਇਆ ।

aasaa vich niraas niraas valaaeaa |

Remain detached amidst all the hopes and cravings.

ਥੋੜਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਅੰਨੁ ਖਾਇ ਪੀਆਇਆ ।

thorraa paanee an khaae peeaeaa |

Eat less food and drink little water.

ਥੋੜਾ ਬੋਲਣ ਬੋਲਿ ਨ ਝਖਿ ਝਖਾਇਆ ।

thorraa bolan bol na jhakh jhakhaaeaa |

Speak less and do not talk nonsensical.

ਥੋੜੀ ਰਾਤੀ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਮੋਹਿ ਫਹਾਇਆ ।

thorree raatee need na mohi fahaaeaa |

Sleep less and do not be caught in any infatuation.

ਸੁਹਣੇ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਲੋਭ ਲੁਭਾਇਆ ।੧੫।
