ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਇ ਕਹੋ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਪਹਿ ਤੋ ਹਮ ਬਾਤ ਬਨਾਵਹਿ ਐਸੇ ॥

jo tum jaae kaho tin hee peh to ham baat banaaveh aise |

ਚੀਰ ਹਰੇ ਹਮਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਦਈ ਬਾਰਿ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਰੀ ਕਢੈ ਹਮ ਕੈਸੇ ॥

cheer hare hamare har jee dee baar te niaaree kadtai ham kaise |

“If you go and say anything, we shall also say like this that Krishna had stolen our clothes, how could we come out of water?

ਭੇਦ ਕਹੈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਜਸੁਧਾ ਪਹਿ ਤੋਹਿ ਕਰੈ ਸਰਮਿੰਦਤ ਵੈਸੇ ॥

bhed kahai sabh hee jasudhaa peh tohi karai saramindat vaise |

ਜਿਉ ਨਰ ਕੋ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਤਿਰੀਯਾ ਹੂੰ ਸੁ ਮਾਰਤ ਲਾਤਨ ਮੂਕਨ ਜੈਸੇ ॥੨੫੭॥

jiau nar ko geh kai tireeyaa hoon su maarat laatan mookan jaise |257|

“We shall tell everything to mother Yashoda and make you feel ashamed like the one having received good thrashing from women.”257.
