Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:

ਭਗਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਆਨੰਦੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥

bhagataa man aanand gobind |

The minds of the Lord's devotee are filled with bliss.

ਅਸਥਿਤਿ ਭਏ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਸਭ ਚਿੰਦ ॥

asathit bhe binasee sabh chind |

They become stable and permanent, and all their anxiety is gone.

ਭੈ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਗਏ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

bhai bhram binas ge khin maeh |

Their fears and doubts are dispelled in an instant.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੧॥

paarabraham vasiaa man aae |1|

The Supreme Lord God comes to dwell in their minds. ||1||

ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਸੰਤ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਇ ॥

raam raam sant sadaa sahaae |

The Lord is forever the Help and Support of the Saints.

ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਨਾਲੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ghar baahar naale paramesar rav rahiaa pooran sabh tthaae |1| rahaau |

Inside the home of the heart, and outside as well, the Transcendent Lord is always with us, permeating and pervading all places. ||1||Pause||

ਧਨੁ ਮਾਲੁ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥

dhan maal joban jugat gopaal |

The Lord of the World is my wealth, property, youth and ways and means.

ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਨਿਤ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥

jeea praan nit sukh pratipaal |

He continually cherishes and brings peace to my soul and breath of life.

ਅਪਨੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੈ ਹਾਥ ॥

apane daas kau de raakhai haath |

He reaches out with His Hand and saves His slave.

ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਛੋਡੈ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਥ ॥੨॥

nimakh na chhoddai sad hee saath |2|

He does not abandon us, even for an instant; He is always with us. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਸਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥

har saa preetam avar na koe |

There is no other Beloved like the Lord.

ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮੑਾਲੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥

saar samaale saachaa soe |

The True Lord takes care of all.

ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧੁ ਨਰਾਇਣੁ ॥

maat pitaa sut bandh naraaein |

The Lord is our Mother, Father, Son and Relation.

ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਭਗਤ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਣੁ ॥੩॥

aad jugaad bhagat gun gaaein |3|

Since the beginning of time, and throughout the ages, His devotees sing His Glorious Praises. ||3||

ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਧਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਮਨਿ ਜੋਰੁ ॥

tis kee dhar prabh kaa man jor |

My mind is filled with the Support and the Power of the Lord.

ਏਕ ਬਿਨਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਰੁ ॥

ek binaa doojaa nahee hor |

Without the Lord, there is no other at all.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਪੁਰਖਾਰਥੁ ॥

naanak kai man ihu purakhaarath |

Nanak's mind is encouraged by this hope,

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਆਰਥੁ ॥੪॥੩੮॥੫੧॥

prabhoo hamaaraa saare suaarath |4|38|51|

that God will accomplish my objectives in life. ||4||38||51||
