Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਤਉ ਮੈ ਆਇਆ ਸਰਨੀ ਆਇਆ ॥

tau mai aaeaa saranee aaeaa |

I have come to You. I have come to Your Sanctuary.

ਭਰੋਸੈ ਆਇਆ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਇਆ ॥

bharosai aaeaa kirapaa aaeaa |

I have come to place my faith in You. I have come seeking Mercy.

ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਪਠਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jiau bhaavai tiau raakhahu suaamee maarag gureh patthaaeaa |1| rahaau |

If it pleases You, save me, O my Lord and Master. The Guru has placed me upon the Path. ||1||Pause||

ਮਹਾ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਮਾਇਆ ॥

mahaa dutar maaeaa |

Maya is very treacherous and difficult to pass through.

ਜੈਸੇ ਪਵਨੁ ਝੁਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

jaise pavan jhulaaeaa |1|

It is like a violent wind-storm. ||1||

ਸੁਨਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਹੀ ਡਰਾਇਆ ॥

sun sun hee ddaraaeaa |

I am so afraid to hear

ਕਰਰੋ ਧ੍ਰਮਰਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

kararo dhramaraaeaa |2|

that the Righteous Judge of Dharma is so strict and stern. ||2||

ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪਾਇਆ ॥

grih andh koopaaeaa |

The world is a deep, dark pit;

ਪਾਵਕੁ ਸਗਰਾਇਆ ॥੩॥

paavak sagaraaeaa |3|

it is all on fire. ||3||

ਗਹੀ ਓਟ ਸਾਧਾਇਆ ॥

gahee ott saadhaaeaa |

I have grasped the Support of the Holy Saints.

ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥

naanak har dhiaaeaa |

Nanak meditates on the Lord.

ਅਬ ਮੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੩॥੪੬॥

ab mai pooraa paaeaa |4|3|46|

Now, I have found the Perfect Lord. ||4||3||46||
