ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਿਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭਈ ॥

bachan sunat krudhit triy bhee |

ਜਰਿ ਬਰਿ ਆਠ ਟੂਕ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਈ ॥

jar bar aatth ttook hvai gee |

Listening to all this, she flew into rage and thought,

ਅਬ ਹੀ ਚੋਰਿ ਚੋਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਉਠਿਹੌ ॥

ab hee chor chor keh utthihau |

ਤੁਹਿ ਕੋਪ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਹੀ ਸੁਟਿਹੌ ॥੫੫॥

tuhi kop kar maar hee suttihau |55|

‘Now I should shout, “thief, thief” and people will come and kill him.’(55)
