ਦੈ ਬਰੁ ਤਾ ਤ੍ਰੀਯ ਕੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਮੂੰਡ ਰਹੇ ਨਿਹੁਰਾਇ ॥

dai bar taa treey ko krisan moondd rahe nihuraae |

Krishna bestowed a boon on wife of the washerman and nodding his head, he sat down

ਤਬ ਸੁਕ ਸੋ ਪੁਛਯੌ ਨ੍ਰਿਪੈ ਕਹੋ ਹਮੈ ਕਿਹ ਭਾਇ ॥੮੨੩॥

tab suk so puchhayau nripai kaho hamai kih bhaae |823|

Then the (king) Parikshat enquired from Shuka, “O sage! Tell me why it happened that Krishna sat down, nodding his head?”823.
