ਮੇਰੁ ਕਿਯੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਤੇ ਮੁਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਗਰੀਬ ਨਿਵਾਜ ਨ ਦੂਸਰ ਤੋਸੌ ॥

mer kiyo trin te muhi jaeh gareeb nivaaj na doosar tosau |

From a straw You can raise my status to as high as Sumer Hills and there is none other as benevolent to the poor as You.

ਭੂਲ ਛਿਮੋ ਹਮਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੁ ਨ ਭੂਲਨਹਾਰ ਕਹੂੰ ਕੋਊ ਮੋ ਸੌ ॥

bhool chhimo hamaree prabh aap na bhoolanahaar kahoon koaoo mo sau |

There is none other as pardonable as You.

ਸੇਵ ਕਰੈ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਧਨ ਲਾਗਤ ਧਾਮ ਭਰੋਸੌ ॥

sev karai tumaree tin ke chhin mai dhan laagat dhaam bharosau |

A little service to You is abundantly rewarded instantly.

ਯਾ ਕਲਿ ਮੈ ਸਭਿ ਕਲਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਕੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਭੁਜਾਨ ਕੋ ਭਾਰੀ ਭਰੋਸੌ ॥੪੭॥

yaa kal mai sabh kal kripaan kee bhaaree bhujaan ko bhaaree bharosau |47|

In the Kal-age one can only depend on the sword, the faculty and self determination.(47)

ਖੰਡਿ ਅਖੰਡਨ ਖੰਡ ਕੈ ਚੰਡਿ ਸੁ ਮੁੰਡ ਰਹੇ ਛਿਤ ਮੰਡਲ ਮਾਹੀ ॥

khandd akhanddan khandd kai chandd su mundd rahe chhit manddal maahee |

The immortal heroes were annihilated, and their pride-filled heads were thrown on the earth.

ਦੰਡਿ ਅਦੰਡਨ ਕੋ ਭੁਜਦੰਡਨ ਭਾਰੀ ਘਮੰਡ ਕਿਯੋ ਬਲ ਬਾਹੀ ॥

dandd adanddan ko bhujadanddan bhaaree ghamandd kiyo bal baahee |

The egocentric, to whom no other could inflict punishment, you, with your vigorous arms, made pride-less.

ਥਾਪਿ ਅਖੰਡਲ ਕੌ ਸੁਰ ਮੰਡਲ ਨਾਦ ਸੁਨਿਯੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਮਹਾ ਹੀ ॥

thaap akhanddal kau sur manddal naad suniyo brahamandd mahaa hee |

Once again Indra was established to rule the Creation and the happiness was ensued.

ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਵੰਡਲ ਕੋ ਰਨ ਮੰਡਲ ਤੋ ਸਮ ਸੂਰ ਕੋਊ ਕਹੂੰ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੪੮॥

kraoor kavanddal ko ran manddal to sam soor koaoo kahoon naahee |48|

You adore the bow, and there is none other hero as great as you.( 48)(1)

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ︀ਯਾਨੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਧ︀ਯਾਇ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੧॥੪੮॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
