ਟਰਿ ਆਗੇ ਤਿਹ ਲੀਜਿਐ ਬਹੁ ਕੀਜੈ ਸਨਮਾਨ ॥

ttar aage tih leejiai bahu keejai sanamaan |

‘We go to see her and give her warm welcome.

ਮੋਰੇ ਢਿਗ ਬੈਠਾਰਿਯੈ ਅਮਿਤ ਦਰਬੁ ਦੈ ਦਾਨ ॥੭॥

more dtig baitthaariyai amit darab dai daan |7|

‘Then making her to sit near me, give her lot of wealth.’(7)

ਤਿਹ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਟਰਿ ਆਗੈ ਲਿਯੋ ਬੈਠਾਰਿਯੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤੀਰ ॥

tih nrip ttar aagai liyo baitthaariyo triy teer |

Raja came forward and let his woman take seat near her (sister).

ਅਤਿ ਧਨੁ ਦੈ ਆਦਰੁ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਭਏ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਕੀ ਭੀਰ ॥੮॥

at dhan dai aadar kariyo bhe triyan kee bheer |8|

With respect, he gave her lot of riches, and many other ladies gathered there, too.(8)

ਜਬ ਰਾਜਾ ਢਿਗ ਬੈਠ︀ਯੋ ਤਬ ਦੁਹੂੰਅਨ ਲਪਟਾਇ ॥

jab raajaa dtig baitthayo tab duhoonan lapattaae |

When Raja took seat among them, both grasped each other.

ਕੂਕਿ ਕੂਕਿ ਰੋਵਤ ਭਈ ਅਧਿਕ ਸਨੇਹ ਬਢਾਇ ॥੯॥

kook kook rovat bhee adhik saneh badtaae |9|

They started to cry loudly and showed great affection for each other.(9)

ਰੰਗ ਰਾਇ ਤਿਹ ਪੁਰਖ ਕੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੋ ਭੇਸ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ॥

rang raae tih purakh ko triy ko bhes sudhaar |

Rang Raae had disguised the man as a woman,

ਦਛਿਨੰਗ ਰਾਜਾ ਲਯੋ ਬਾਮੈ ਅੰਗ ਸੁ ਯਾਰ ॥੧੦॥

dachhinang raajaa layo baamai ang su yaar |10|

And made Raja to sit on her right and the lover on the left.(10)

ਯਹ ਭਗਨੀ ਤੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਤਿ ਯਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਕੌਨ ॥

yeh bhaganee to praan pat yaa te preetam kauan |

‘She is my sister and you are my revered husband, and there is none other as much pleasing to me.’

ਦਿਨ ਦੇਖਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਛਲਿ ਗਈ ਜਿਹ ਲਖਿ ਭਜਿਯੈ ਮੌਨ ॥੧੧॥

din dekhat triy chhal gee jih lakh bhajiyai mauan |11|

In broad day light the women deceive and we had to keep shut.(11)

ਅਤਿਭੁਤ ਗਤਿ ਬਨਿਤਾਨ ਕੀ ਜਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥

atibhut gat banitaan kee jinai na paavai koe |

Because the Chritars are unique, and no one can perceive.

ਭੇਦ ਸੁਰਾਸੁਰ ਨ ਲਹੈ ਜੋ ਚਾਹੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਇ ॥੧੨॥

bhed suraasur na lahai jo chaahai so hoe |12|

Her mysteries no one can grasp, not even the gods and the demons.(12)(1)
