ਤਬ ਤਿਹ ਕਾਢਿ ਹਾਥ ਪੈ ਲਯੋ ॥
tab tih kaadt haath pai layo |
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਚੁਕਾਇ ਸੂਆ ਉਡਿ ਗਯੋ ॥
drisatt chukaae sooaa udd gayo |
Then she took it (the parrot) out and sat it on her hand but, escaping her looks, it flew away,
ਜਾਇ ਰਿਸਾਲੂ ਸਾਥ ਜਤਾਯੋ ॥
jaae risaaloo saath jataayo |
ਖੇਲਤ ਕਹਾ ਚੋਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਯੋ ॥੫੧॥
khelat kahaa chor grih aayo |51|
And went to Rasaloo and told, ‘A thief had come to your house.’(51)
ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਬੈਨਿ ਰਿਸਾਲੂ ਧਾਯੋ ॥
yau sun bain risaaloo dhaayo |
ਤੁਰਤੁ ਧੌਲਹਰ ਕੇ ਤਟ ਆਯੋ ॥
turat dhaualahar ke tatt aayo |
Learning this Rasaloo walked fast and reached the palace immediately.
ਭੇਦ ਕੋਕਿਲਾ ਜਬ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhed kokilaa jab lakh paayo |
ਸਫ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਲਪੇਟਿ ਦੁਰਾਯੋ ॥੫੨॥
saf ke bikhai lapett duraayo |52|
When Kokila learnt this, she wrapped around (the other Raja) a mat and hid him away.(52)
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਬਕਤ੍ਰ ਫੀਕੌ ਕਿਯੋ ਭਯੋ ॥
kahiyo bakatr feekau kiyo bhayo |
ਜਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਹੁ ਲੂਟਿ ਸਸਿ ਲਯੋ ॥
jan kar raahu loott sas layo |
‘Why is your face getting pale, as if god Rahu has squeezed light out of Moon?
ਅੰਬੁਯਨ ਕੀ ਅੰਬਿਆ ਕਿਨ ਹਰੀ ॥
anbuyan kee anbiaa kin haree |
ਢੀਲੀ ਸੇਜ ਕਹੋ ਕਿਹ ਕਰੀ ॥੫੩॥
dteelee sej kaho kih karee |53|
‘Where has gone the pinkish sparkle of your eyes? Why is your bedding become slack?’(53)
