Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:

ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਨਾਮ ॥

ratan javehar naam |

The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is a jewel, a ruby.

ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਗਿਆਨ ॥

sat santokh giaan |

It brings Truth, contentment and spiritual wisdom.

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਦਇਆ ਕਾ ਪੋਤਾ ॥

sookh sehaj deaa kaa potaa |

The Lord entrusts the treasures of peace,

ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਹਵਾਲੈ ਹੋਤਾ ॥੧॥

har bhagataa havaalai hotaa |1|

Intuition and kindness to His devotees. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਭੰਡਾਰੁ ॥

mere raam ko bhanddaar |

This is the treasure of my Lord.

ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਿ ਕਛੁ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

khaat kharach kachh tott na aavai ant nahee har paaraavaar |1| rahaau |

Consuming and expending it, it is never used up. The Lord has no end or limitation. ||1||Pause||

ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕ ਹੀਰਾ ॥

keeratan niramolak heeraa |

The Kirtan of the Lord's Praise is a priceless diamond.

ਆਨੰਦ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥

aanand gunee gaheeraa |

It is the ocean of bliss and virtue.

ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ॥

anahad baanee poonjee |

In the Word of the Guru's Bani is the wealth of the unstruck sound current.

ਸੰਤਨ ਹਥਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਕੂੰਜੀ ॥੨॥

santan hath raakhee koonjee |2|

The Saints hold the key to it in their hands. ||2||

ਸੁੰਨ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਗੁਫਾ ਤਹ ਆਸਨੁ ॥

sun samaadh gufaa teh aasan |

They sit there, in the cave of deep Samaadhi;

ਕੇਵਲ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਹ ਬਾਸਨੁ ॥

keval braham pooran teh baasan |

the unique, perfect Lord God dwells there.

ਭਗਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਕਰਤ ॥

bhagat sang prabh gosatt karat |

God holds conversations with His devotees.

ਤਹ ਹਰਖ ਨ ਸੋਗ ਨ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਰਤ ॥੩॥

teh harakh na sog na janam na marat |3|

There is no pleasure or pain, no birth or death there. ||3||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ ॥

kar kirapaa jis aap divaaeaa |

One whom the Lord Himself blesses with His Mercy,

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

saadhasang tin har dhan paaeaa |

obtains the Lord's wealth in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥

deaal purakh naanak aradaas |

Nanak prays to the merciful Primal Lord;

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਰਤਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੪॥੨੪॥੩੫॥

har meree varatan har meree raas |4|24|35|

the Lord is my merchandise, and the Lord is my capital. ||4||24||35||
