ਸਾਵਣਿ ਵਣ ਹਰੀਆਵਲੇ ਵੁਠੈ ਸੁਕੈ ਅਕੁ ਜਵਾਹਾ ।

In the month of Savan, the whole forest becomes green but akk, a wild plant of sandy region ( Calatropis procera) and javah (a prickly plant used in medicine) go dry.

ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਬਬੀਹੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਤਿ ਬੂੰਦ ਸਿਪ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਮੋਤੀ ਉਮਾਹਾ ।

tripat babeehe svaant boond sip andar motee umaahaa |

Getting rain drops in the savanti nakstr (a special formation of stars in the sky) the rain bird (Paphia) gets satisfied and if the same drop falls in the mouth of a shell, it is transformed into a pearl.

ਕਦਲੀ ਵਣਹੁ ਕਪੂਰ ਹੋਇ ਕਲਰਿ ਕਵਲੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਸਮਾਹਾ ।

kadalee vanahu kapoor hoe kalar kaval na hoe samaahaa |

In the banana fields, the same drop becomes camphor but on alkaline earth and lotus hat drop has no impact.

ਬਿਸੀਅਰ ਮੁਹਿ ਕਾਲਕੂਟ ਹੋਇ ਧਾਤ ਸੁਪਾਤ੍ਰ ਕੁਪਾਤ੍ਰ ਦੁਰਾਹਾ ।

biseear muhi kaalakoott hoe dhaat supaatr kupaatr duraahaa |

That drop, if it goes into the mouth of a snake, becomes deadly poison. Therefore, a thing given to a genuine and undeserving person has different effects.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਉਭੈ ਸਾਹਾ ।

saadhasangat gur sabad sun saant na aavai ubhai saahaa |

Likewise, those who are engrossed in the worldly delusions do not get peace even though they listen to the word of the Guru in the holy congregation.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਖ ਫਲੁ ਪਿਰਮ ਰਸੁ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਬਦਰਾਹੀ ਬਦਰਾਹਾ ।

guramukh sukh fal piram ras manamukh badaraahee badaraahaa |

The gurmukh attains the pleasure fruit of the love of the Lord, but manmukh, the mind orientated one, goes on following the evil path.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਟੋਟਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਲਾਹਾ ।੪।

manamukh ttottaa guramukh laahaa |4|

Manmukh always suffers loss whereas the Gurmukh earns profit.
