ਬੀਰ ਪਠੇ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਉਤੈ ਇਤ ਭੂਮਿ ਮੈ ਬੈਠਿ ਸਿਵਾ ਜਪੁ ਕੀਨੋ ॥

beer patthe jadubeer utai it bhoom mai baitth sivaa jap keeno |

Krishna, on that side, sent the Yadavas for fighting and he himself, on this side, began to repeat the name of the goddess

ਅਉਰ ਦਈ ਸੁਧਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਸਬੈ ਤਬ ਤਾਹੀ ਕੇ ਧ︀ਯਾਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਮਨੁ ਦੀਨੋ ॥

aaur dee sudh chhaadd sabai tab taahee ke dhayaan bikhai man deeno |

He, forgetting all his consciousness, absorbed his mind only in the meditation of the goddess

ਚੰਡਿ ਤਬੈ ਪਰਤਛ ਭਈ ਬਰੁ ਮਾਗਹੁ ਜੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਜੋਈ ਚੀਨੋ ॥

chandd tabai paratachh bhee bar maagahu jo man mai joee cheeno |

Then the goddess manifested herself and said, “You may ask for the boon that you want

ਯਾ ਅਰਿ ਆਜ ਹਨੋ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਘਨ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਮਾਗਿ ਇਹੈ ਬਰ ਲੀਨੋ ॥੧੩੩੨॥

yaa ar aaj hano ran mai ghan sayaam joo maag ihai bar leeno |1332|

” On this, Krishna asked for the destruction of Shakti Singh on that day.1332.

ਯੌ ਬਰੁ ਪਾਇ ਚੜਿਯੋ ਰਥ ਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਮਨ ਬੀਚ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿ ਭਯੋ ॥

yau bar paae charriyo rath pai har joo man beech prasan bhayo |

In this way, obtaining the boon, Krishna mounted on the chariot with pleased mind

ਜਪੁ ਕੈ ਜੁ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਤੇ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਅਰਿ ਮਾਰਨ ਕੋ ਬਰੁ ਮਾਗ ਲਯੋ ॥

jap kai ju bhavaanee te sayaam kahai ar maaran ko bar maag layo |

The poet Shyam says that on account of his repetition of the name, he obtained the boon of killing the enemy

ਸਬ ਆਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਬਰਬੀਰ ਬਲੀ ਹੂ ਕੇ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਤਉ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਗਯੋ ॥

sab aayudh lai barabeer balee hoo ke saamuhe tau jadubeer gayo |

Taking all his weapons, Krishna went before that mighty warrior and the hope of victory,

ਮਨੋ ਜੀਤ ਕੇ ਅੰਕੁਰ ਜਾਤ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਹੁਤੋ ਯਾ ਬਰ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਯੋ ਸੁ ਨਯੋ ॥੧੩੩੩॥

mano jeet ke ankur jaat rahiyo huto yaa bar te upajiyo su nayo |1333|

That was on the verge of its end, a new sprout erupted on account of this boon.1333.
