ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਹੋਇ ॥

jis kaa sabh kichh tis kaa hoe |

All things belong to Him - let yourself belong to Him as well.

ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਲੇਪੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥

tis jan lep na biaapai koe |1|

No stain clings to such a humble being. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਮੁਕਤਾ ॥

har kaa sevak sad hee mukataa |

The Lord's servant is liberated forever.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਜੁਗਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jo kichh karai soee bhal jan kai at niramal daas kee jugataa |1| rahaau |

Whatever He does, is pleasing to His servant; the way of life of His slave is immaculately pure. ||1||Pause||

ਸਗਲ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣੀ ਆਇਆ ॥

sagal tiaag har saranee aaeaa |

One who renounces everything, and enters the Lord's Sanctuary

ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਹਾ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਮਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

tis jan kahaa biaapai maaeaa |2|

- how can Maya cling to him? ||2||

ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

naam nidhaan jaa ke man maeh |

With the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, in his mind,

ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੩॥

tis kau chintaa supanai naeh |3|

he suffers no anxiety, even in dreams. ||3||

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

kahu naanak gur pooraa paaeaa |

Says Nanak, I have found the Perfect Guru.

ਭਰਮੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਸਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੨੦॥੭੧॥

bharam mohu sagal binasaaeaa |4|20|71|

My doubts and attachments have been totally obliterated. ||4||20||71||
