ਚਾਕਰ ਸਭ ਸਦਾਇਂਦੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ।

chaakar sabh sadaaeinde saahib darabaare |

In the court of the emperor all are known as servants.

ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਕਰਨਿ ਜੁਹਾਰੀਆ ਸਭ ਸੈ ਹਥੀਆਰੇ ।

niv niv karan juhaareea sabh sai hatheeaare |

Armed well, they bow most humbly.

ਮਜਲਸ ਬਹਿ ਬਾਫਾਇਂਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਨਿ ਭਾਰੇ ।

majalas beh baafaaeinde bol bolan bhaare |

In the social and cultural gatherings they boast and brag.

ਗਲੀਏ ਤੁਰੇ ਨਚਾਇਂਦੇ ਗਜਗਾਹ ਸਵਾਰੇ ।

galee ture nachaaeinde gajagaah savaare |

They have their elephants decorated and in the streets and bazars they roam with their horses dancing.

ਰਣ ਵਿਚਿ ਪਇਆਂ ਜਾਣੀਅਨਿ ਜੋਧ ਭਜਣਹਾਰੇ ।

ran vich peaan jaaneean jodh bhajanahaare |

But only in the battle field is known who is a valiant fighter and who is to take to his heels.

ਤਿਉ ਸਾਂਗਿ ਸਿਞਾਪਨਿ ਸਨਮੁਖਾਂ ਬੇਮੁਖ ਹਤਿਆਰੇ ।੧੯।

tiau saang siyaapan sanamukhaan bemukh hatiaare |19|

Similar are the apostates, the assassins who disguised as close to the Lord remain around, but ultimately are identified.
