ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਸੋ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੀ ਹਸਿ ਬਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨਨ ॥

mil kai sabh gvaarin sundar sayaam so sayaam kahee has baat prabeenan |

ਰਾਜਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਪਤਿ ਸੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਛਾਜਤ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਸਮ ਮੀਨਨ ॥

raajat jaeh mrigeepat se drig chhaajat chanchalataa sam meenan |

All the gopis together smilingly said cunningly to Krishna, whose beautiful eyes are big like deer and agile like fish

ਕੰਚਨ ਸੇ ਤਨ ਕਉਲ ਮੁਖੀ ਰਸ ਆਤੁਰ ਹੈ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਰਛਕ ਦੀਨਨ ॥

kanchan se tan kaul mukhee ras aatur hai kahiyo rachhak deenan |

ਨੇਹੁ ਬਢਾਇ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਿਰਿ ਨਿਆਇ ਕੈ ਭਾਤਿ ਅਧੀਨਨ ॥੪੬੬॥

nehu badtaae mahaa sukh paae kahiyo sir niaae kai bhaat adheenan |466|

Whose body is like gold, who is the protector of the lowly, to him, with pleased mind, in extreme pleasure and bowed heads, the gopis said humbly.466.

ਅਤਿ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਿਝਵੰਤ ਕਹਿਓ ਗੁਪੀਆ ਜੁਗ ਤੀਸਰ ਮੈ ਪਤਿ ਭਯੋ ਜੁ ਕਪੀ ॥

at hvai rijhavant kahio gupeea jug teesar mai pat bhayo ju kapee |

The gopis said joyfully, “He, who was the lord of monkeys in Treta age

ਜਿਨਿ ਰਾਵਨ ਖੇਤਿ ਮਰਿਓ ਕੁਪ ਕੈ ਜਿਹ ਰੀਝਿ ਬਿਭੀਛਨ ਲੰਕ ਥਪੀ ॥

jin raavan khet mario kup kai jih reejh bibheechhan lank thapee |

He, whoin ire, killed Ravana and was pleased to gave to kingdom to Vibhishana

ਜਿਹ ਕੀ ਜਗ ਬੀਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਿਧ ਕਲਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਕਛੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਛਪੀ ॥

jih kee jag beech prasidh kalaa kab sayaam kahai kachh naeh chhapee |

Whose supernatural powers are discussed throughout the world

ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗ ਕਰੈ ਰਸ ਕੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਜਿਨ ਹੂੰ ਤਿਰੀਯਾ ਫੁਨਿ ਚੰਡਿ ਜਪੀ ॥੪੬੭॥

tih sang karai ras kee charachaa jin hoon tireeyaa fun chandd japee |467|

” All these women are discussing with him about his amorous play they have rememberedand repeated the name of Chandi and begged from her Krishna as their husband.467.

ਜਉ ਰਸ ਬਾਤ ਕਹੀ ਗੁਪੀਆ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਯੋ ਤਿਨ ਸਾਫੀ ॥

jau ras baat kahee gupeea tab hee har javaab dayo tin saafee |

ਆਈ ਹੋ ਛੋਡਿ ਸਭੈ ਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਤੁਮ ਹੋਇ ਤੁਮੈ ਨ ਮਰੇ ਫੁਨਿ ਮਾਫੀ ॥

aaee ho chhodd sabhai pat ko tum hoe tumai na mare fun maafee |

When the gopis talked about the amorous pleasure, Krishna told them plainly that they had left behind their husbands and they would not be forgiven even after death

ਹਉ ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਨਹਿ ਹੇਤ ਕਰੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਉ ਬਾਮ ਕਰੋ ਰਸ ਲਾਫੀ ॥

hau tum so neh het karo tum kaahe kau baam karo ras laafee |

ਇਉ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਮੋਨ ਭਜੀ ਸੁ ਬਜਾਇ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਮੁਰਲੀ ਮਹਿ ਕਾਫੀ ॥੪੬੮॥

eiau keh kai har mon bhajee su bajaae utthiyo muralee meh kaafee |468|

He said, “I do not love you and why do you talk to me about the pleasures of love?,” saying this Krishna became silent and began to play on the flute the tune of Kafi.468.
