Dohira

ਤਬ ਲਗ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੁਰਤ ਹੀ ਧਾਮ ਗਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਆਇ ॥

tab lag raajaa turat hee dhaam gayo tih aae |

Then suddenly Raja came to that place.

ਚਾਰਿ ਮਮਟਿ ਯਹਿ ਤਹ ਦਯੋ ਸੋਕ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੧੨॥

chaar mamatt yeh teh dayo sok hridai upajaae |12|

With afflicted heart, she pushed him up the tower.(12)

ਦੋ ਸੈ ਗਜ ਦੋ ਬੈਰਕੈ ਲੀਨੀ ਸਾਹੁ ਮੰਗਾਇ ॥

The Shah, then, collected two bamboo sticks of two hundred yards each

ਬਡੀ ਧੁਜਨ ਸੌ ਬਾਧਿ ਕੈ ਬਾਧੀ ਭੁਜਨ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੧੩॥

baddee dhujan sau baadh kai baadhee bhujan banaae |13|

And through very large buntings, he tied up his arms with them.(l3)

ਰੂੰਈ ਮਨਿ ਕੁ ਮੰਗਾਇ ਕੈ ਅੰਗ ਲਈ ਲਪਟਾਇ ॥

roonee man ku mangaae kai ang lee lapattaae |

He asked for one quintal of cotton and woofs and wrapped them around him.

ਬਾਧਿ ਘੋਘਰੋ ਪਵਨ ਲਖਿ ਕੂਦਤ ਭਯੋ ਰਿਸਾਇ ॥੧੪॥

baadh ghogharo pavan lakh koodat bhayo risaae |14|
