Todee, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਾਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਸ ॥

maaee mere man kee piaas |

O my mother, my mind is so thirsty.

ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਉ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੇਖਨ ਕਉ ਧਾਰੀ ਮਨਿ ਆਸ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

eik khin reh na skau bin preetam darasan dekhan kau dhaaree man aas | rahaau |

I cannot survive, even for an instant, without my Beloved. My mind is filled with the desire to behold the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||Pause||

ਸਿਮਰਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਨਾਸ ॥

simrau naam niranjan karate man tan te sabh kilavikh naas |

I meditate in remembrance on the Naam, the Name of the immaculate Creator Lord; all the sins and errors of my mind and body are washed away.

ਪੂਰਨ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਬਿਮਲ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਜਾਸ ॥੧॥

pooran paarabraham sukhadaate abinaasee bimal jaa ko jaas |1|

The Perfect Supreme Lord God, the eternal, imperishable Giver of peace - spotless and pure are His Praises. ||1||

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੂਰ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭੇਟੇ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥

sant prasaad mere poor manorath kar kirapaa bhette gunataas |

By the Grace of the Saints, my desires have been fulfilled; in His Mercy, the Lord, the treasure of virtue, has met me.

ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਸੂਖ ਮਨਿ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਕੋਟਿ ਸੂਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੨॥੫॥੨੪॥

saant sehaj sookh man upajio kott soor naanak paragaas |2|5|24|

Peace and tranquility, poise and pleasure, have welled up within my mind; millions of suns, O Nanak, illuminate me. ||2||5||24||
