ਲਈ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਚਤੁਰਿ ਸੋ ਏਕ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥

lee sahacharee chatur so ek bulaae kai |

ਕਹੋ ਪਿਅਰਵਾ ਸਾਥ ਭੇਦ ਸਮਝਾਇ ਕੈ ॥

kaho piaravaa saath bhed samajhaae kai |

She had called the clever companion and sent her for another lover.

ਲਿਖਿ ਪਤਿਯਾ ਕਰ ਦਈ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਦੀਜੀਯੋ ॥

likh patiyaa kar dee kahiyo tih deejeeyo |

ਹੋ ਕਾਲਿ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਬਾਗ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਚਲਿ ਕੀਜੀਯੋ ॥੧੪॥

ho kaal hamaare baag kripaa chal keejeeyo |14|

She had sent a letter asking the lover to reach the garden next day.(14)

ਕਹਿਯੋ ਪਿਅਰਵਹਿ ਐਸ ਭੇਦ ਸਮੁਝਾਇਯੌ ॥

kahiyo piaraveh ais bhed samujhaaeiyau |

ਕਾਲਿ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਬਾਗ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਆਇਯੌ ॥

kaal hamaare baag kripaa kar aaeiyau |

She conveyed this secret to the (second) lover, ‘Come to the garden.

ਜਬੈ ਮੁਗਲ ਛਲਿ ਦੈਹੋ ਰੂਖ ਚੜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥

jabai mugal chhal daiho rookh charraae kai |

ਹੋ ਤਬੈ ਸਜਨਵਾ ਮਿਲਿਯਹੁ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੫॥

ho tabai sajanavaa miliyahu ham ko aae kai |15|

When I make Mughal to clime the tree, then you come and meet me.’(15)
