ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਜਗ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

baddabhaagee te jan jag maeh |

Very fortunate are those humble beings in this world,

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਹਿ ॥

sadaa sadaa har ke gun gaeh |

who sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, forever and ever.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਜੋ ਕਰਹਿ ਬੀਚਾਰ ॥

raam naam jo kareh beechaar |

Those who dwell upon the Lord's Name,

ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਗਨੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥

se dhanavant ganee sansaar |

are the most wealthy and prosperous in the world.

ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੁਖੀ ॥

man tan mukh boleh har mukhee |

Those who speak of the Supreme Lord in thought, word and deed

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤੇ ਸੁਖੀ ॥

sadaa sadaa jaanahu te sukhee |

know that they are peaceful and happy, forever and ever.

ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਏਕੁ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥

eko ek ek pachhaanai |

One who recognizes the One and only Lord as One,

ਇਤ ਉਤ ਕੀ ਓਹੁ ਸੋਝੀ ਜਾਨੈ ॥

eit ut kee ohu sojhee jaanai |

understands this world and the next.

ਨਾਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥

naam sang jis kaa man maaniaa |

One whose mind accepts the Company of the Naam,

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥੩॥

naanak tineh niranjan jaaniaa |3|

the Name of the Lord, O Nanak, knows the Immaculate Lord. ||3||
