ਦਸਮੀ ਦਸ ਦੁਆਰ ਬਸਿ ਕੀਨੇ ॥

dasamee das duaar bas keene |

The tenth day of the lunar cycle: Overpower the ten sensory and motor organs;

ਮਨਿ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿ ਲੀਨੇ ॥

man santokh naam jap leene |

your mind will be content, as you chant the Naam.

ਕਰਨੀ ਸੁਨੀਐ ਜਸੁ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥

karanee suneeai jas gopaal |

With your ears, hear the Praises of the Lord of the World;

ਨੈਨੀ ਪੇਖਤ ਸਾਧ ਦਇਆਲ ॥

nainee pekhat saadh deaal |

with your eyes, behold the kind, Holy Saints.

ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ਬੇਅੰਤ ॥

rasanaa gun gaavai beant |

With your tongue, sing the Glorious Praises of the Infinite Lord.

ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥

man meh chitavai pooran bhagavant |

In your mind, remember the Perfect Lord God.

ਹਸਤ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਤ ਟਹਲ ਕਮਾਈਐ ॥

hasat charan sant ttehal kamaaeeai |

With your hands and feet, work for the Saints.

ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧੦॥

naanak ihu sanjam prabh kirapaa paaeeai |10|

O Nanak, this way of life is obtained by God's Grace. ||10||
