Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਕੀਏ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥

sarab kaliaan kee guradev |

The Divine Guru has blessed me with total happiness.

ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਲਾਇਓ ਸੇਵ ॥

sevak apanee laaeo sev |

He has linked His servant to His service.

ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਪਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧॥

bighan na laagai jap alakh abhev |1|

No obstacles block my path, meditating on the incomprehensible, inscrutable Lord. ||1||

ਧਰਤਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ॥

dharat puneet bhee gun gaae |

The soil has been sanctified, singing the Glories of His Praises.

ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

durat geaa har naam dhiaae |1| rahaau |

The sins are eradicated, meditating on the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਂਈ ਰਵਿਆ ਆਪਿ ॥

sabhanee thaanee raviaa aap |

He Himself is pervading everywhere;

ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥

aad jugaad jaa kaa vadd parataap |

from the very beginning, and throughout the ages, His Glory has been radiantly manifest.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥੨॥

gur parasaad na hoe santaap |2|

By Guru's Grace, sorrow does not touch me. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਮੀਠੇ ॥

gur ke charan lage man meetthe |

The Guru's Feet seem so sweet to my mind.

ਨਿਰਬਿਘਨ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਥਾਂਈ ਵੂਠੇ ॥

nirabighan hoe sabh thaanee vootthe |

He is unobstructed, dwelling everywhere.

ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੂਠੇ ॥੩॥

sabh sukh paae satigur tootthe |3|

I found total peace, when the Guru was pleased. ||3||

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ॥

paarabraham prabh bhe rakhavaale |

The Supreme Lord God has become my Savior.

ਜਿਥੈ ਕਿਥੈ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥

jithai kithai deeseh naale |

Wherever I look, I see Him there with me.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਖਸਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥

naanak daas khasam pratipaale |4|2|

O Nanak, the Lord and Master protects and cherishes His slaves. ||4||2||
