ਦੇਹਿ ਅਸੀਸ ਸਭੈ ਸੁਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਆਰਤੀ ਦੀਪ ਜਗਾਇਓ ॥

dehi asees sabhai sur naar sudhaar kai aaratee deep jagaaeo |

All the women of the gods bless the goddess and performing the aarti (the religious ceremony performed around the image of the deity) they have lighted the lamps.

ਫੂਲ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਸੁਅਛਤ ਦਛਨ ਜਛਨ ਜੀਤ ਕੋ ਗੀਤ ਸੁ ਗਾਇਓ ॥

fool sugandh suachhat dachhan jachhan jeet ko geet su gaaeo |

They offer flowers, fragrance and rice and the women of Yakshas sing songs of victory.

ਧੂਪ ਜਗਾਇ ਕੈ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਇ ਕੈ ਸੀਸ ਨਿਵਾਇ ਕੈ ਬੈਨ ਸੁਨਾਇਓ ॥

dhoop jagaae kai sankh bajaae kai sees nivaae kai bain sunaaeo |

They burn the incence and blow the conch and supplicate bowing their heads.

ਹੇ ਜਗ ਮਾਇ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਦਾਇ ਤੈ ਸੁੰਭ ਕੋ ਘਾਇ ਬਡੋ ਜਸੁ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੨੨੮॥

he jag maae sadaa sukh daae tai sunbh ko ghaae baddo jas paaeo |228|

“O Universal mother, ever Giver of the comfort, by killing Sumbh, Thou hast earned a great approhbation.”228.

ਸਕ੍ਰਹਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੈ ਚੰਡ ਸੁ ਮੋਦ ਮਹਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਰਈ ਹੈ ॥

sakreh saaj samaaj dai chandd su mod mahaa man maeh ree hai |

Giving all the royal paraphernalia to Indra, Chandi is very much pleased in her mind.

ਸੂਰ ਸਸੀ ਨਭਿ ਥਾਪ ਕੈ ਤੇਜੁ ਦੇ ਆਪ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਸੁ ਲੋਪ ਭਈ ਹੈ ॥

soor sasee nabh thaap kai tej de aap tahaa te su lop bhee hai |

Sabilising the sun and moon in the sky and making them glorious, she herself hath disappeared.

ਬੀਚ ਅਕਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਬਢਿਓ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਨ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥

beech akaas prakaas badtio tih kee upamaa man te na gee hai |

The light of sun and moon hath increased in the sky, the powt hath not forgotten its comparison from his mind.

ਧੂਰਿ ਕੈ ਪੂਰ ਮਲੀਨ ਹੁਤੋ ਰਵਿ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਓਪ ਦਈ ਹੈ ॥੨੨੯॥

dhoor kai poor maleen huto rav maanahu chanddikaa op dee hai |229|

It seemed that the sun had become filthy with dust and the goddess Chandi hath given him the splendour.229.
