ਲਖਿ ਰੂਪ ਲਲਾ ਜੂ ਕੋ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀ ॥

lakh roop lalaa joo ko reejh rahee |

ਜਿਹ ਜੋਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਤ ਕਹੀ ॥

jih jot prabhaa neh jaat kahee |

She was so much delighted with the sight of her loved one that it could not be narrated.

ਨਿਸ ਏਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਤਿਹ ਬੋਲ ਲਿਯੋ ॥

nis ek triyaa tih bol liyo |

ਮਨ ਭਾਵਤ ਭੂਪ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਕਿਯੋ ॥੮॥

man bhaavat bhoop sau bhog kiyo |8|

eih beech triyaa pat aan pariyo |

Husband seemed to be coming.

ਤਿਹ ਆਵਤ ਜਾਨਿ ਡਰੀ ਹਿਯ ਮੈ ॥

tih aavat jaan ddaree hiy mai |

Seeing him proceeding (towards her) she was frightened and she

ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਠਟਿਯੋ ਜਿਯ ਮੈ ॥੯॥

eih bhaat charitr tthattiyo jiy mai |9|

Planned to dupe him this way.(9)
