Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਬ ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਕੋ ਨ ਪੁਕਾਰੈ ॥

ab jan aoopar ko na pukaarai |

Now, no one complains about the Lord's humble servant.

ਪੂਕਾਰਨ ਕਉ ਜੋ ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

pookaaran kau jo udam karataa gur paramesar taa kau maarai |1| rahaau |

Whoever tries to complain is destroyed by the Guru, the Transcendent Lord God. ||1||Pause||

ਨਿਰਵੈਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਵੈਰੁ ਰਚਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਓਹੁ ਹਾਰੈ ॥

niravairai sang vair rachaavai har daragah ohu haarai |

Whoever harbors vengeance against the One who is beyond all vengenace, shall lose in the Court of the Lord.

ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੈ ॥੧॥

aad jugaad prabh kee vaddiaaee jan kee paij savaarai |1|

From the very beginning of time, and throughout the ages, it is the glorious greatness of God, that He preserves the honor of His humble servants. ||1||

ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਸਗਲ ਭਉ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਧਾਰੈ ॥

nirbhau bhe sagal bhau mittiaa charan kamal aadhaarai |

The mortal becomes fearless, and all his fears are taken away, when he leans on the Support of the Lord's Lotus Feet.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਨਾਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਇਓ ਸੰਸਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੪੫॥੬੮॥

gur kai bachan japio naau naanak pragatt bheo sansaarai |2|45|68|

Chanting the Name, through the Guru's Word, Nanak has become famous throughout the world. ||2||45||68||
