ਕੰਸ ਕਹੈ ਬਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨੋ ਇਹ ਆਜ ਕਰੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਾਜ ਹਮਾਰੋ ॥

kans kahai bakee baat suno ih aaj karo tum kaaj hamaaro |

Kansa said to Bakasur, “Listen to me and do this work of mine

ਬਾਰਕ ਜੇ ਜਨਮੇ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ ਮੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਕੌ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ਸੀਘ੍ਰ ਸੰਘਾਰੋ ॥

baarak je janame ih des mai taeh kau jaae kai seeghr sanghaaro |

All the boys who are born in this country, you may destroy them immediately

ਕਾਲ ਵਹੈ ਹਮਰੋ ਕਹੀਐ ਤਿਹ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਡਰਿਯੋ ਹੀਅਰਾ ਮਮ ਭਾਰੋ ॥
