ਕਹਾ ਭਯੋ ਸੁਘਰੇ ਭਏ ਕਰਤ ਜੁਬਨ ਕੋ ਮਾਨ ॥

kahaa bhayo sughare bhe karat juban ko maan |

‘What if you are astute? You must not be proud of your youth.

ਬਿਰਹ ਬਾਨ ਮੋ ਕੋ ਲਗੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਨ ਦੀਜੈ ਜਾਨ ॥੨੬॥

birah baan mo ko lage brithaa na deejai jaan |26|

‘I am afflicted with the arrow of separation, don’t let it dissipate.(26)
