ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਆਇ ਤਬੈ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਪੁਰ ਮੈ ਬਲਿਰਾਮ ਅਉ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਪਾਇ ਪਰਿਯੋ ॥

aae tabai mathuraa pur mai baliraam aau sayaam ke paae pariyo |

ਕਹਿਯੋ ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਮੋ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਪਠਿਯੋ ਤਿਨ ਸੋ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਹੀ ਸੋ ਉਚਰਿਯੋ ॥

kahiyo jo tum mo keh kai patthiyo tin so ih bhaat hee so uchariyo |

After reaching Mathura, Udhava bowed at the feet of Krishna and Balram and said, “O Krishna! whatever you had asked me to say, I have done accordingly

ਸੰਗ ਨੰਦ ਕੇ ਅਉ ਉਨ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਿ ਗ︀ਯਾਨ ਕੀ ਫੇਰਿ ਫਿਰਿਯੋ ॥

sang nand ke aau un gvaaran ke charachaa kar gayaan kee fer firiyo |

ਤੁਮਰੋ ਮੁਖ ਭਾਨੁ ਨਿਹਾਰਤ ਹੀ ਤਮ ਸੋ ਦੁਖ ਥੋ ਸਭ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥੯੫੭॥

tumaro mukh bhaan nihaarat hee tam so dukh tho sabh door kariyo |957|

“I have come back after conversing on topics concerning on divine wisdom with the gopis and Nand and seeing your sun-like face my agony has ended.957.

ਤੁਮਰੇ ਪਗ ਭੇਟਿ ਗਯੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਫੁਨਿ ਨੰਦ ਕੇ ਧਾਮਿ ਗਯੋ ॥

tumare pag bhett gayo jab hee tab hee fun nand ke dhaam gayo |

“Touching your feet, when I started, I reached at first at the house of Nand

ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਗ︀ਯਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਚਲਿ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਪਾਸ ਅਯੋ ॥

tih ko kar kai har gayaan prabodh utthiyo chal gvaaran paas ayo |

After talking to him on matters of divine wisdom, I came to the gopis

ਤੁਮਰੋ ਉਨ ਦੁਖ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹਮ ਪੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਉਤਰ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਦਯੋ ॥

tumaro un dukh kahiyo ham pai sun utar mai ih bhaat dayo |

“They related to me their suffering because of their separation from you, I advised them to repeat ever the Name of Krishna

ਬਲਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮਹਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੀਯੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਨਾਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਘਨੋ ਬਢਯੋ ॥੯੫੮॥

bal sayaameh sayaam sadaa japeeyo sun naameh prem ghano badtayo |958|

After hearing your name, their love increasd greatly.”958.
