ਭੰਨੇ ਦੈਤ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਥੈ ॥

bhane dait pukaare raaje sunbh thai |

The demons ran to their king Sumbh and beseeched

ਲੋਚਨ ਧੂਮ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ਸਣੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ॥

lochan dhoom sanghaare sane sipaaheean |

“Lochan Dhum has been killed alongwith his soldiers

ਚੁਣਿ ਚੁਣਿ ਜੋਧੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੇਤ ਦੈ ॥

chun chun jodhe maare andar khet dai |

“She hath seleted the warriors and killed them in the battlefield

ਜਾਪਨ ਅੰਬਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ਡਿਗਨਿ ਸੂਰਮੇ ॥

jaapan anbar taare ddigan soorame |

“It seems that the warriors have fallen like the stars from the sky

ਗਿਰੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਭਾਰੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਬਿਜੁ ਦੇ ॥

gire parabat bhaare maare bij de |

“The huge mountains have fallen, having been smote by the lightning

ਦੈਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਹਾਰੇ ਦਹਸਤ ਖਾਇ ਕੈ ॥

daitaan de dal haare dahasat khaae kai |

“The forces of the demons have been defeated on becoming panicky

ਬਚੇ ਸੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਰਹਦੇ ਰਾਇ ਥੈ ॥੨੯॥

bache su maare maare rahade raae thai |29|

“Those who were left have also been killed and the remaining have come to the king.”29.
