ਧਰਤਿ ਵੜੈ ਵੜਿ ਬੀਉ ਹੋਇ ਜੜ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ।

dharat varrai varr beeo hoe jarr andar jamai |

The seed enters the earth and settles in the form of root.

ਹੋਇ ਬਰੂਟਾ ਚੁਹਚੁਹਾ ਮੂਲ ਡਾਲ ਧਰੰਮੈ ।

hoe baroottaa chuhachuhaa mool ddaal dharamai |

Then in the form of verdant plant it becomes stem and branches.

ਬਿਰਖ ਅਕਾਰੁ ਬਿਥਾਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਬਹੁ ਜਟਾ ਪਲੰਮੈ ।

birakh akaar bithaar kar bahu jattaa palamai |

Becoming tree it extends further and tangled branches hang from it.

ਜਟਾ ਲਟਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਧਰਤਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਹੋਇ ਮੂਲ ਅਗੰਮੈ ।

jattaa lattaa mil dharat vich hoe mool agamai |

These flourishing branches ultimately entering the earth again attain the form of roots.

ਛਾਂਵ ਘਣੀ ਪਤ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਫਲ ਲੱਖ ਲਖੰਮੈ ।

chhaanv ghanee pat sohane fal lakh lakhamai |

Now its shade becomes think and leaves appear beautiful and millions of fruits grow on it.

ਫਲ ਫਲ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਬੀਅ ਬਹੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮਰੰਮੈ ।੧੮।
