ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik oankaar satigur prasaad |

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥

mere man har siau laagee preet |

My mind is in love with the Lord.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਤ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਾਚੀ ਰੀਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

saadhasang har har japat niramal saachee reet |1| rahaau |

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har; my lifestyle is pure and true. ||1||Pause||

ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਘਣੀ ਚਿਤਵਤ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ॥

darasan kee piaas ghanee chitavat anik prakaar |

I have such a great thirst for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; I think of him in so many ways.

ਕਰਹੁ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥੧॥

karahu anugrahu paarabraham har kirapaa dhaar muraar |1|

So be Merciful, O Supreme Lord; shower Your Mercy upon me, O Lord, Destroyer of pride. ||1||

ਮਨੁ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਆਇਆ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥

man paradesee aaeaa milio saadh kai sang |

My stranger soul has come to join the Saadh Sangat.

ਜਿਸੁ ਵਖਰ ਕਉ ਚਾਹਤਾ ਸੋ ਪਾਇਓ ਨਾਮਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥

jis vakhar kau chaahataa so paaeo naameh rang |2|

That commodity, which I longed for, I have found in the Love of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||

ਜੇਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

jete maaeaa rang ras binas jaeh khin maeh |

There are so many pleasures and delights of Maya, but they pass away in an instant.

ਭਗਤ ਰਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਸੁਖੁ ਭੁੰਚਹਿ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ ॥੩॥

bhagat rate tere naam siau sukh bhuncheh sabh tthaae |3|

Your devotees are imbued with Your Name; they enjoy peace everywhere. ||3||

ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਚਲਤਉ ਪੇਖੀਐ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਉ ॥

sabh jag chaltau pekheeai nihachal har ko naau |

The entire world is seen to be passing away; only the Lord's Name is lasting and stable.

ਕਰਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਾਈ ਸਾਧ ਸਿਉ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਠਾਉ ॥੪॥

kar mitraaee saadh siau nihachal paaveh tthaau |4|

So make friends with the Holy Saints, so that you may obtain a lasting place of rest. ||4||

ਮੀਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧਪਾ ਕੋਊ ਹੋਤ ਨ ਸਾਥ ॥

meet saajan sut bandhapaa koaoo hot na saath |

Friends, acquaintances, children and relatives - none of these shall be your companion.

ਏਕੁ ਨਿਵਾਹੂ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਦੀਨਾ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਥ ॥੫॥

ek nivaahoo raam naam deenaa kaa prabh naath |5|

The Lord's Name alone shall go with you; God is the Master of the meek. ||5||

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਭਏ ਲਗਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਓ ਤੇਹ ॥

charan kamal bohith bhe lag saagar tario teh |

The Lord's Lotus Feet are the Boat; attached to Them, you shall cross over the world-ocean.

ਭੇਟਿਓ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹ ॥੬॥

bhettio pooraa satiguroo saachaa prabh siau neh |6|

Meeting with the Perfect True Guru, I embrace True Love for God. ||6||

ਸਾਧ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀ ਜਾਚਨਾ ਵਿਸਰੁ ਨ ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ॥

saadh tere kee jaachanaa visar na saas giraas |

The prayer of Your Holy Saints is, "May I never forget You, for even one breath or morsel of food."

ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਲਾ ਤੇਰੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਕਾਰਜ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੭॥

jo tudh bhaavai so bhalaa terai bhaanai kaaraj raas |7|

Whatever is pleasing to Your Will is good; by Your Sweet Will, my affairs are adjusted. ||7||

ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਿਲੇ ਉਪਜੇ ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦ ॥

sukh saagar preetam mile upaje mahaa anand |

I have met my Beloved, the Ocean of Peace, and Supreme Bliss has welled up within me.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਭ ਦੁਖ ਮਿਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭੇਟੇ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ ॥੮॥੧॥੨॥

kahu naanak sabh dukh mitte prabh bhette paramaanand |8|1|2|

Says Nanak, all my pains have been eradicated, meeting with God, the Lord of Supreme Bliss. ||8||1||2||
