naam tupak ke hot hai leejahu sukab su dhaar |762|
Saying firstly the word “Mrigi-jaa” and then uttering “Pati” and “Ripu”, O poets, the names of Tupak are formed.762.

The names of Tupak are formed by uttering firstly “Tran-char” and then “Pati-Atri”.763.

ਸਕਲ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਛਾਨੀਐ ॥੭੬੪॥
sakal tupak ke naam su chatur pachhaaneeai |764|
Utter the word “tran-char”, then add the word “Naath” and afterwards add “Shatru” at the end and, in this way, recognize all the names of Tupak.764.

Saying firstly the word “Tran-bhaksh” and then adding the words “Nayak” and “Shatru”, consider all the names of Tupak.765.

ਹੋ ਸਕਲ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥੭੬੭॥
ho sakal tupak ko naam chatur chit jaaneeai |767|
Utter firstly the word “Tran-haatri” and then add the words “Naath Shatru”, and then comprehend all the names of Tupak in your mind.767.

Saying “Tran-ripu” and adding “Pati-ripu” at the end, comprehend correctly all the names of Tupak.770.

Soohee, Third Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਸੂਖਮੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਹੈ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
har jee sookham agam hai kit bidh miliaa jaae |
The Dear Lord is subtle and inaccessible; how can we ever meet Him?
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੧॥
gur kai sabad bhram katteeai achint vasai man aae |1|
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, doubt is dispelled, and the Carefree Lord comes to abide in the mind. ||1||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੰਨਿ ॥
guramukh har har naam japan |
The Gurmukhs chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਰਵੰਨਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
hau tin kai balihaaranai man har gun sadaa ravan |1| rahaau |
I am a sacrifice to those who chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord in their minds forever. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੁ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਮਾਨ ਸਰੋਵਰੁ ਹੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਲਹੰਨੑਿ ॥
gur saravar maan sarovar hai vaddabhaagee purakh lahana |
The Guru is like the Mansarovar Lake; only the very fortunate beings find Him.
ਸੇਵਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਜਿਆ ਸੇ ਹੰਸੁਲੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਹੰਨਿ ॥੨॥
sevak guramukh khojiaa se hansule naam lahan |2|
The Gurmukhs, the selfless servants, seek out the Guru; the swan-souls feed there on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਨੑਿ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗੰਨੑਿ ॥
naam dhiaaeina rang siau guramukh naam lagana |
The Gurmukhs meditate on the Naam, and remain linked to the Naam.
ਧੁਰਿ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਲਏਨੑਿ ॥੩॥
dhur poorab hovai likhiaa gur bhaanaa man lena |3|
Whatever is pre-ordained, accept it as the Will of the Guru. ||3||
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਘਰੁ ਖੋਜਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
vaddabhaagee ghar khojiaa paaeaa naam nidhaan |
By great good fortune, I searched my home, and found the treasure of the Naam.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੁ ॥੪॥
gur poorai vekhaaliaa prabh aatam raam pachhaan |4|
The Perfect Guru has shown God to me; I have realized the Lord, the Supreme Soul. ||4||
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
sabhanaa kaa prabh ek hai doojaa avar na koe |
There is One God of all; there is no other at all.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੫॥
gur parasaadee man vasai tith ghatt paragatt hoe |5|
By Guru's Grace, the Lord comes to abide in the mind; in the heart of such a one, He is revealed. ||5||
ਸਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਸਭ ਥਾਇ ॥
sabh antarajaamee braham hai braham vasai sabh thaae |
God is the Inner-knower of all hearts; God dwells in every place.
ਮੰਦਾ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਖੀਐ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੬॥
mandaa kis no aakheeai sabad vekhahu liv laae |6|
So who should we call evil? Behold the Word of the Shabad, and lovingly dwell upon it. ||6||
ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਤਿਚਰੁ ਆਖਦਾ ਜਿਚਰੁ ਹੈ ਦੁਹੁ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
buraa bhalaa tichar aakhadaa jichar hai duhu maeh |
He calls others bad and good, as long as he is in duality.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੋ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਏਕਸੁ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੭॥
guramukh eko bujhiaa ekas maeh samaae |7|
The Gurmukh understands the One and Only Lord; He is absorbed in the One Lord. ||7||
ਸੇਵਾ ਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਸੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਏ ਥਾਇ ॥
sevaa saa prabh bhaavasee jo prabh paae thaae |
That is selfless service, which pleases God, and which is approved by God.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ॥੮॥੨॥੪॥੯॥
jan naanak har aaraadhiaa gur charanee chit laae |8|2|4|9|
Servant Nanak worships the Lord in adoration; he focuses his consciousness on the Guru's Feet. ||8||2||4||9||
