ਕਰ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਸਮੋਧ ਬਹੁਰ ਬਿਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਕਰੀ ॥
kar kai pritham samodh bahur bidaa prithavee karee |
The Lord instructed the earth and saw her off
ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਨੁ ਰੋਗ ਭਾਰ ਹਰਣ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਨਿਮਿਤ ॥੧੩੮॥
mahaa purakh bin rog bhaar haran basudhaa nimit |138|
He reflected on the measure to be adopted for finishing the burden of the earth.138.

KUNDARIA STANZA
ਦੀਨਨ ਕੀ ਰਛਾ ਨਿਮਿਤ ਕਰ ਹੈ ਆਪ ਉਪਾਇ ॥
deenan kee rachhaa nimit kar hai aap upaae |
ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਾਵਨ ਸਦਾ ਆਪ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੈ ਆਇ ॥
param purakh paavan sadaa aap pragatt hai aae |
For the protection of the helpless and suffering humanity the Lord Himself will take some measure and He will manifest Himself as the Supreme Purusha
ਆਪ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੈ ਆਇ ਦੀਨ ਰਛਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਣ ॥
aap pragatt hai aae deen rachhaa ke kaaran |
ਅਵਤਾਰੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਧਰਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਉਤਾਰਣ ॥੧੩੯॥
avataaree avataar dharaa ke paap utaaran |139|
For the protection of the lowly and for ending the burden of the earth, the Lord will incarnate Himself.139.
ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਹ ਸਮੈ ਸਤਿਜੁਗ ਲਾਗਤ ਆਦਿ ॥
kalijug ke antah samai satijug laagat aad |
ਦੀਨਨ ਕੀ ਰਛਾ ਲੀਏ ਧਰਿ ਹੈ ਰੂਪ ਅਨਾਦਿ ॥
deenan kee rachhaa lee dhar hai roop anaad |
At the end of the Iron Age and by the very beginning of Satyuga, the Lord will incarnate Himself for the protection of the lowly,
ਧਰ ਹੈ ਰੂਪ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਕਲਹਿ ਕਵਤੁਕ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
dhar hai roop anaad kaleh kavatuk kar bhaaree |
ਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਸਾਰਥ ਨਮਿਤ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਅਵਤਾਰੀ ॥੧੪੦॥
satran ke naasaarath namit avataar avataaree |140|
And will perform wonderful sports and in this way the incarnated Purusha will come for the destruction of the enemies.140.

SWAYYA STANZA
ਪਾਪ ਸੰਬੂਹ ਬਿਨਾਸਨ ਕਉ ਕਲਿਕੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਕਹਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
paap sanbooh binaasan kau kalikee avataar kahaavahige |
ਤੁਰਕਛਿ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਸਪਛ ਬਡੋ ਕਰਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਕੰਪਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
turakachh turang sapachh baddo kar kaadt kripaan kanpaavahige |
For the destruction of the sins, he will be called the Kalki incarnation and mounting on a horse and taking the sword, he will destroy all
ਨਿਕਸੇ ਜਿਮ ਕੇਹਰਿ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੇ ਤਸ ਸੋਭ ਦਿਵਾਲਯ ਪਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
nikase jim kehar parabat te tas sobh divaalay paavahige |
He will be glorious like a lion coming down from the mountain
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੧॥

The town of Sambhal will be very fortunate because the Lord will manifest Himself there.141.
ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਸਰੂਪ ਮਹਾ ਲਖਿ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਲਜਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
roop anoop saroop mahaa lakh dev adev lajaavahige |
Seeing his unique form, the gods and other will feel shy
ਅਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਟਾਰਿ ਘਣੇ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਕਲਿ ਧਰਮ ਚਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
ar maar sudhaar ke ttaar ghane bahuro kal dharam chalaavahige |
He will kill and reform the enemies and start a new religion in the Iron Age
ਸਭ ਸਾਧ ਉਬਾਰ ਲਹੈ ਕਰ ਦੈ ਦੁਖ ਆਂਚ ਨ ਲਾਗਨ ਪਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
sabh saadh ubaar lahai kar dai dukh aanch na laagan paavahige |
All the saints will be redeemed and no one will suffer any agony
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੨॥

The town of Sambhal will be very fortunate, because the Lord will manifest Himself there.142.
ਦਾਨਵ ਮਾਰਿ ਅਪਾਰ ਬਡੇ ਰਣਿ ਜੀਤਿ ਨਿਸਾਨ ਬਜਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
daanav maar apaar badde ran jeet nisaan bajaavahige |
ਖਲ ਟਾਰਿ ਹਜਾਰ ਕਰੋਰ ਕਿਤੇ ਕਲਕੀ ਕਲਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬਢਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
khal ttaar hajaar karor kite kalakee kal krit badtaavahige |
After killing the huge demons, he will cause his trumpet of victory to be sounded and killing thousands and crores of tyrants, he will spread his fame as Kalki incarnation
ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿ ਹੈ ਜਿਤਹੀ ਤਿਤ ਧਰਮ ਦਿਸਾ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਪਨ ਪੁੰਜ ਪਰਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
pragatt hai jitahee tith dharam disaa lakh paapan punj paraavahige |
The place where he will manifest Himself, the condition of dharma will begin there and the mass of sins will flee away
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੩॥

The town of Sambhal will be very fortunate, because the Lord will manifest Himself there.143.
ਛੀਨ ਮਹਾ ਦਿਜ ਦੀਨ ਦਸਾ ਲਖਿ ਦੀਨ ਦਿਆਲ ਰਿਸਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
chheen mahaa dij deen dasaa lakh deen diaal risaavahige |
ਖਗ ਕਾਢਿ ਅਭੰਗ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹਠੀ ਰਣ ਰੰਗਿ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਨਚਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
khag kaadt abhang nisang hatthee ran rang turang nachaavahige |
The Lord will get infuriated on seeing the pitiable plight of the talented Brahmins and taking out his sword, he will cause his horse to dance in the battlefield as a persistent warrior
ਰਿਪੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਅਜੀਤ ਅਭੀਤ ਬਡੇ ਅਵਨੀ ਪੈ ਸਬੈ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
rip jeet ajeet abheet badde avanee pai sabai jas gaavahige |
He will conquer the great enemies, all will eulogise him on the earth
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੪॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.144.
ਸੇਸ ਸੁਰੇਸ ਮਹੇਸ ਗਨੇਸ ਨਿਸੇਸ ਭਲੇ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
ses sures mahes ganes nises bhale jas gaavahige |
Sheshnaga, Indra, Shiva, Ganesha, Chandra, all of them will eulogise Him
ਗਣ ਭੂਤ ਪਰੇਤ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਪਰੀ ਜਯ ਸਦ ਨਿਨਦ ਸੁਨਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
gan bhoot paret pisaach paree jay sad ninad sunaavahige |
The ganas, the ghosts, fiends, imps and fairies, all of them will hail Him
ਨਰ ਨਾਰਦ ਤੁੰਬਰ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਜਛ ਸੁ ਬੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਬਜਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
nar naarad tunbar kinar jachh su been prabeen bajaavahige |
Nara, Narada, Kinnars, Yakshas etc. will play on their lyres in order to welcome him
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੫॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.145.
ਤਾਲ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਮੁਚੰਗ ਉਪੰਗ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਸੇ ਨਾਦ ਸੁਨਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
taal mridang muchang upang surang se naad sunaavahige |
The sounds of drums will be heard
ਡਫ ਬਾਰ ਤਰੰਗ ਰਬਾਬ ਤੁਰੀ ਰਣਿ ਸੰਖ ਅਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
ddaf baar tarang rabaab turee ran sankh asankh bajaavahige |
The tabors, the musical glasses, rababs and conches etc. will be played,
ਗਣ ਦੁੰਦਭਿ ਢੋਲਨ ਘੋਰ ਘਨੀ ਸੁਨਿ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਬੈ ਮੁਰਛਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
gan dundabh dtolan ghor ghanee sun satru sabai murachhaavahige |
And hearing the sounds of large and small, the enemies will become unconscious
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੬॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.146.
ਤੀਰ ਤੁਫੰਗ ਕਮਾਨ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਦੁਰੰਗ ਨਿਖੰਗ ਸੁਹਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
teer tufang kamaan surang durang nikhang suhaavahige |
He will look splendid with bow, arrows, quiver etc
ਬਰਛੀ ਅਰੁ ਬੈਰਖ ਬਾਨ ਧੁਜਾ ਪਟ ਬਾਤ ਲਗੇ ਫਹਰਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
barachhee ar bairakh baan dhujaa patt baat lage faharaavahige |
He will hold the lance and spear and his banners will wave
ਗੁਣ ਜਛ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਸੁ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਸਿਧ ਪ੍ਰਸਿਧ ਸਬੈ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
gun jachh bhujang su kinar sidh prasidh sabai jas gaavahige |
The Ganas, Yakshas, Nagas, Kinnars and all famous adepts will eulogise Hiim
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੭॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.147.
ਕਉਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਕਟਾਰਿ ਕਮਾਨ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਨਿਖੰਗ ਛਕਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
kauch kripaan kattaar kamaan surang nikhang chhakaavahige |
He will kill in very great numbers using his sword, dagger, bow, quiver and armour
ਬਰਛੀ ਅਰੁ ਢਾਲ ਗਦਾ ਪਰਸੋ ਕਰਿ ਸੂਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਲ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
barachhee ar dtaal gadaa paraso kar sool trisool bhramaavahige |
He will strike blows with his lance, mace, axe, spear, trident etc. and use his shield
ਅਤਿ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਣ ਮੂਰਧਨ ਮੋ ਸਰ ਓਘ ਪ੍ਰਓਘ ਚਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
at krudhat hvai ran mooradhan mo sar ogh progh chalaavahige |
In His fury, He will shower arrows in the war
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੮॥

ਤੇਜ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਅਖੰਡ ਮਹਾ ਛਬਿ ਦੁਜਨ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਰਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
tej prachandd akhandd mahaa chhab dujan dekh paraavahige |
ਜਿਮ ਪਉਨ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਬਹੈ ਪਤੂਆ ਸਬ ਆਪਨ ਹੀ ਉਡਿ ਜਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
jim paun prachandd bahai patooaa sab aapan hee udd jaavahige |
Seeing his powerful beauty and glory, the tyrants will flee like the leaves flying before the strong gust of wind
ਬਢਿ ਹੈ ਜਿਤ ਹੀ ਤਿਤ ਧਰਮ ਦਸਾ ਕਹੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਨ ਢੂੰਢਤ ਪਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
badt hai jit hee tith dharam dasaa kahoon paap na dtoondtat paavahige |
Wherever He will go, the dharma will increase and the sin will not be seen even on seeking
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੪੯॥

ਛੂਟਤ ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨਿਨ ਕੇ ਰਣ ਛਾਡਿ ਭਟਵਾ ਭਹਰਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
chhoottat baan kamaanin ke ran chhaadd bhattavaa bhaharaavahige |
ਗਣ ਬੀਰ ਬਿਤਾਲ ਕਰਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਰਣ ਮੂਰਧਨ ਮਧਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
gan beer bitaal karaal prabhaa ran mooradhan madh suhaavahige |
With the discharge of the arrows from His bow, the warriors will fall down is perplexity and there will be many powerful spirits and dreadful ghosts
ਗਣ ਸਿਧ ਪ੍ਰਸਿਧ ਸਮ੍ਰਿਧ ਸਨੈ ਕਰ ਉਚਾਇ ਕੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੁਨਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥

The famous ganas and adepts will eulogise Him by repeatedly raising their hands
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੫੦॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate where the Lord will manifest Himself.150.
ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਸਰੂਪ ਮਹਾ ਅੰਗ ਦੇਖਿ ਅਨੰਗ ਲਜਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
roop anoop saroop mahaa ang dekh anang lajaavahige |
ਭਵ ਭੂਤ ਭਵਿਖ ਭਵਾਨ ਸਦਾ ਸਬ ਠਉਰ ਸਭੈ ਠਹਰਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
bhav bhoot bhavikh bhavaan sadaa sab tthaur sabhai tthaharaavahige |
Seeing his charming form and limbs, the god of love will feel shy and the past, present and future, seeing Him, will stay at their place
ਭਵ ਭਾਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਕੌ ਕਲਿਕੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਕਹਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
bhav bhaar apaar nivaaran kau kalikee avataar kahaavahige |
For the removal the burden of the earth, he be called Kalki incarnation
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੫੧॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.151.
ਭੂਮ ਕੋ ਭਾਰ ਉਤਾਰ ਬਡੇ ਬਡਆਛ ਬਡੀ ਛਬਿ ਪਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
bhoom ko bhaar utaar badde baddaachh baddee chhab paavahige |
He will appear magnificent after removing the burden of the earth
ਖਲ ਟਾਰਿ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਬਰਿਆਰ ਹਠੀ ਘਨ ਘੋਖਨ ਜਿਉ ਘਹਰਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
khal ttaar jujhaar bariaar hatthee ghan ghokhan jiau ghaharaavahige |
At that time, very great warriors and persistent heroes, will thunder like clouds
ਕਲ ਨਾਰਦ ਭੂਤ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਪਰੀ ਜੈਪਤ੍ਰ ਧਰਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਨਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
kal naarad bhoot pisaach paree jaipatr dharatr sunaavahige |
Narada, ghosts, imps and fairies will sing His song of victory
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੫੨॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.152.
ਝਾਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਬਡੇ ਰਣ ਮਧ ਮਹਾ ਛਬਿ ਪਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
jhaar kripaan jujhaar badde ran madh mahaa chhab paavahige |
He will look splendid in the battlefield after killing the great heroes with His sword
ਧਰਿ ਲੁਥ ਪਲੁਥ ਬਿਥਾਰ ਘਣੀ ਘਨ ਕੀ ਘਟ ਜਿਉ ਘਹਰਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
dhar luth paluth bithaar ghanee ghan kee ghatt jiau ghaharaavahige |
Knocking down corpses upon corpses, He will thunder like clouds
ਚਤੁਰਾਨਨ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਚਰਾਚਰ ਜੇ ਜਯ ਸਦ ਨਿਨਦ ਸੁਨਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
chaturaanan rudr charaachar je jay sad ninad sunaavahige |
Brahma, Rudra and all animate and inanimate objects will sing the declaration of His victory
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੫੩॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.153.
ਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਉਚਾਨ ਧੁਜਾ ਲਖਿ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਤ੍ਰਸਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
taar pramaan uchaan dhujaa lakh dev adev trasaavahige |
Looking at His sky-reaching banner all the gods and others will become fearful
ਕਲਗੀ ਗਜਗਾਹ ਗਦਾ ਬਰਛੀ ਗਹਿ ਪਾਣਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
kalagee gajagaah gadaa barachhee geh paan kripaan bhramaavahige |
Wearing His aigrette and holding his mace, lance and sword in His hands, He will move hither and thither
ਜਗ ਪਾਪ ਸੰਬੂਹ ਬਿਨਾਸਨ ਕਉ ਕਲਕੀ ਕਲਿ ਧਰਮ ਚਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
jag paap sanbooh binaasan kau kalakee kal dharam chalaavahige |
He will propagate His religion in the Iron age for destroying the sins in the world
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੫੪॥

The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.154.
ਪਾਨਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਅਜਾਨੁ ਭੁਜਾ ਰਣਿ ਰੂਪ ਮਹਾਨ ਦਿਖਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
paan kripaan ajaan bhujaa ran roop mahaan dikhaavahige |
ਪ੍ਰਤਿਮਾਨ ਸੁਜਾਨ ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਲਖਿ ਬਿਓਮ ਬਿਵਾਨ ਲਜਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
pratimaan sujaan apramaan prabhaa lakh biom bivaan lajaavahige |
The mighty-armed Lord, taking up His sword in His hand will show His Superb Form in he battlefield and seeing His extraordinary glory, the gods will feel shy in the sky
ਗਣਿ ਭੂਤ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਪਰੇਤ ਪਰੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੀਤ ਕੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਵਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
gan bhoot pisaach paret paree mil jeet ke geet gavaavahige |
The ghosts, imps, fiends, fairies, fairies, ganas etc. will together sing the song of His victory
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੫੫॥
bhal bhaag bhayaa ih sanbhal ke har joo har mandar aavahige |155|
The town of Sambhal is very fortunate, where the Lord will manifest Himself.155.
ਬਾਜਤ ਡੰਕ ਅਤੰਕ ਸਮੈ ਰਣ ਰੰਗਿ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਨਚਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
baajat ddank atank samai ran rang turang nachaavahige |
The trumpets will sound at the time of war and they will cause the horses to dance
ਕਸਿ ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਗਦਾ ਬਰਛੀ ਕਰਿ ਸੂਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਲ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
kas baan kamaan gadaa barachhee kar sool trisool bhramaavahige |
They will move taking with them the bows and arrows, maces, lances, spears, tridents etc.,
ਗਣ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਪਰੀ ਰਣ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਬੈ ਰਹਸਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
gan dev adev pisaach paree ran dekh sabai rahasaavahige |
And looking at them the gods, demons, imps, fairies etc. will become pleased
ਭਲੁ ਭਾਗ ਭਯਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਆਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧੫੬॥
bhal bhaag bhayaa ih sanbhal ke har joo har mandar aavahige |156|
The town of Sambhal is very fortunate where the Lord will manifest Himself.156.

ਮਨੂਆ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਧਾਵਦਾ ਓਹੁ ਕੈਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
manooaa deh dis dhaavadaa ohu kaise har gun gaavai |
His mind wanders in the ten directions - how can he sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord?
ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਵਿਆਪਿ ਰਹੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਈ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਨਿਤ ਸੰਤਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
eindree viaap rahee adhikaaee kaam krodh nit santaavai |1|
The sensory organs are totally engrossed in sensuality; sexual desire and anger constantly afflict him. ||1||
ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਹਜੇ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੀਜੈ ॥
vaahu vaahu sahaje gun raveejai |
Waaho! Waaho! Hail! Hail! Chant His Glorious Praises.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਦੁਲਭੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raam naam is jug meh dulabh hai guramat har ras peejai |1| rahaau |
The Lord's Name is so difficult to obtain in this age; under Guru's Instruction, drink in the subtle essence of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਸਬਦੁ ਚੀਨਿ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
sabad cheen man niramal hovai taa har ke gun gaavai |
Remembering the Word of the Shabad, the mind becomes immaculately pure, and then, one sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਆਪੈ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਤਾ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
guramatee aapai aap pachhaanai taa nij ghar vaasaa paavai |2|
Under Guru's Instruction, one comes to understand his own self, and then, he comes to dwell in the home of his inner self. ||2||
ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
e man mere sadaa rang raate sadaa har ke gun gaau |
O my mind, be imbued forever with the Lord's Love, and sing forever the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਉ ॥੩॥
har niramal sadaa sukhadaataa man chindiaa fal paau |3|
The Immaculate Lord is forever the Giver of peace; from Him, one receives the fruits of his heart's desires. ||3||
ਹਮ ਨੀਚ ਸੇ ਊਤਮ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥
ham neech se aootam bhe har kee saranaaee |
I am lowly, but I have been exalted, entering the Sanctuary of the Lord.
ਪਾਥਰੁ ਡੁਬਦਾ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੀਆ ਸਾਚੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੪॥
paathar ddubadaa kaadt leea saachee vaddiaaee |4|
He has lifted up the sinking stone; True is His glorious greatness. ||4||
ਬਿਖੁ ਸੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਭਏ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
bikh se amrit bhe guramat budh paaee |
From poison, I have been transformed into Ambrosial Nectar; under Guru's Instruction, I have obtained wisdom.
ਅਕਹੁ ਪਰਮਲ ਭਏ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਵਸਾਈ ॥੫॥
akahu paramal bhe antar vaasanaa vasaaee |5|
From bitter herbs, I have been transformed into sandalwood; this fragrance permeates me deep within. ||5||
ਮਾਣਸ ਜਨਮੁ ਦੁਲੰਭੁ ਹੈ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਖਟਿਆ ਆਇ ॥
maanas janam dulanbh hai jag meh khattiaa aae |
This human birth is so precious; one must earn the right to come into the world.
ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੬॥
poorai bhaag satigur milai har naam dhiaae |6|
By perfect destiny, I met the True Guru, and I meditate on the Lord's Name. ||6||
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭੂਲੇ ਬਿਖੁ ਲਗੇ ਅਹਿਲਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
manamukh bhoole bikh lage ahilaa janam gavaaeaa |
The self-willed manmukhs are deluded; attached to corruption, they waste away their lives in vain.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਭਾਇਆ ॥੭॥
har kaa naam sadaa sukh saagar saachaa sabad na bhaaeaa |7|
The Name of the Lord is forever an ocean of peace, but the manmukhs do not love the Word of the Shabad. ||7||
ਮੁਖਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਕਰੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥
mukhahu har har sabh ko karai viralai hiradai vasaaeaa |
Everyone can chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har with their mouths, but only a few enshrine it within their hearts.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਸਿਆ ਮੋਖ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਤਿਨੑ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੮॥੨॥
naanak jin kai hiradai vasiaa mokh mukat tina paaeaa |8|2|
O Nanak, those who enshrine the Lord within their hearts, attain liberation and emancipation. ||8||2||
ਵਡਹੰਸੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਛੰਤ ॥
vaddahans mahalaa 1 chhant |
Wadahans, First Mehl, Chhant:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik oankaar satigur prasaad |
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਕਾਇਆ ਕੂੜਿ ਵਿਗਾੜਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਨਾਈਐ ॥
kaaeaa koorr vigaarr kaahe naaeeai |
Why bother to wash the body, polluted by falsehood?
ਨਾਤਾ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਈਐ ॥
naataa so paravaan sach kamaaeeai |
One's cleansing bath is only approved, if he practices Truth.
ਜਬ ਸਾਚ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਾਚਾ ਤਾਮਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
jab saach andar hoe saachaa taam saachaa paaeeai |
When there is Truth within the heart, then one becomes True, and obtains the True Lord.
ਲਿਖੇ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਬੋਲਿ ਬੋਲਿ ਗਵਾਈਐ ॥
likhe baajhahu surat naahee bol bol gavaaeeai |
Without pre-ordained destiny, understanding is not attained; talking and babbling, one wastes his life away.
ਜਿਥੈ ਜਾਇ ਬਹੀਐ ਭਲਾ ਕਹੀਐ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਲਿਖਾਈਐ ॥
jithai jaae baheeai bhalaa kaheeai surat sabad likhaaeeai |
Wherever you go and sit, speak well, and write the Word of the Shabad in your consciousness.
ਕਾਇਆ ਕੂੜਿ ਵਿਗਾੜਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਨਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
kaaeaa koorr vigaarr kaahe naaeeai |1|
Why bother to wash the body which is polluted by falsehood? ||1||
ਤਾ ਮੈ ਕਹਿਆ ਕਹਣੁ ਜਾ ਤੁਝੈ ਕਹਾਇਆ ॥
taa mai kahiaa kehan jaa tujhai kahaaeaa |
When I have spoken, I spoke as You made me speak.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
amrit har kaa naam merai man bhaaeaa |
The Ambrosial Name of the Lord is pleasing to my mind.
ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਦੂਖਿ ਡੇਰਾ ਢਾਹਿਆ ॥
naam meetthaa maneh laagaa dookh dderaa dtaahiaa |
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, seems so sweet to my mind; it has destroyed the dwelling of pain.
ਸੂਖੁ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਆਇ ਵਸਿਆ ਜਾਮਿ ਤੈ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ॥
sookh man meh aae vasiaa jaam tai furamaaeaa |
Peace came to dwell in my mind, when You gave the Order.
ਨਦਰਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਨਿ ਆਪੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
nadar tudh aradaas meree jin aap upaaeaa |
It is Yours to bestow Your Grace, and it is mine to speak this prayer; You created Yourself.
ਤਾ ਮੈ ਕਹਿਆ ਕਹਣੁ ਜਾ ਤੁਝੈ ਕਹਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
taa mai kahiaa kehan jaa tujhai kahaaeaa |2|
When I have spoken, I spoke as You made me speak. ||2||
ਵਾਰੀ ਖਸਮੁ ਕਢਾਏ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਾ ॥
vaaree khasam kadtaae kirat kamaavanaa |
The Lord and Master gives them their turn, according to the deeds they have done.
ਮੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਆਖਿ ਝਗੜਾ ਪਾਵਣਾ ॥
mandaa kisai na aakh jhagarraa paavanaa |
Do not speak ill of others, or get involved in arguments.
ਨਹ ਪਾਇ ਝਗੜਾ ਸੁਆਮਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੁ ਵਞਾਵਣਾ ॥
neh paae jhagarraa suaam setee aap aap vayaavanaa |
Do not get into arguments with the Lord, or you shall ruin yourself.
ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਰੀਕੀ ਜਾਇ ਕਿਆ ਰੂਆਵਣਾ ॥
jis naal sangat kar sareekee jaae kiaa rooaavanaa |
If you challenge the One, with whom you must abide, you will cry in the end.
ਜੋ ਦੇਇ ਸਹਣਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਕਹਣਾ ਆਖਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਵਾਵਣਾ ॥
jo dee sahanaa maneh kahanaa aakh naahee vaavanaa |
Be satisfied with what God gives you; tell your mind not to complain uselessly.
ਵਾਰੀ ਖਸਮੁ ਕਢਾਏ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਾ ॥੩॥
vaaree khasam kadtaae kirat kamaavanaa |3|
The Lord and Master gives them their turn, according to the deeds they have done. ||3||
ਸਭ ਉਪਾਈਅਨੁ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੇ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ॥
sabh upaaeean aap aape nadar kare |
He Himself created all, and He blesses then with His Glance of Grace.
ਕਉੜਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮਾਗੈ ਮੀਠਾ ਸਭ ਮਾਗੈ ॥
kaurraa koe na maagai meetthaa sabh maagai |
No one asks for that which is bitter; everyone asks for sweets.
ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ਮੀਠਾ ਮੰਗਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਖਸਮ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਕਰੇ ॥
sabh koe meetthaa mang dekhai khasam bhaavai so kare |
Let everyone ask for sweets, and behold, it is as the Lord wills.
ਕਿਛੁ ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਅਨੇਕ ਕਰਣੀ ਨਾਮ ਤੁਲਿ ਨ ਸਮਸਰੇ ॥
kichh pun daan anek karanee naam tul na samasare |
Giving donations to charity, and performing various religious rituals are not equal to the contemplation of the Naam.
ਨਾਨਕਾ ਜਿਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕਰਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਧੁਰਿ ਕਦੇ ॥
naanakaa jin naam miliaa karam hoaa dhur kade |
O Nanak, those who are blessed with the Naam have had such good karma pre-ordained.
ਸਭ ਉਪਾਈਅਨੁ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੇ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ॥੪॥੧॥
sabh upaaeean aap aape nadar kare |4|1|
He Himself created all, and He blesses them with His Glance of Grace. ||4||1||
