ਜੋ ਉਹਿ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਆਇ ਗਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੋ ਉਨ ਹੂ ਛਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਜਰਾਯੋ ॥
jo uhi ke mukh aae gayo prabh so un hoo chhin maeh jaraayo |
ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਬਾਤ ਚੜਿਯੋ ਰਥ ਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਤਾਹੀ ਕੇ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥
yau sun baat charriyo rath pai har taahee ke saamuhe chakr chalaayo |
“He, who comes before it, is burnt down in an instant.” Hearing these words, Krishna mounted on his chariot and discharged his discus towards it
ਚਕ੍ਰ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਕੇ ਤਿਨ ਅਗ੍ਰ ਨ ਤਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਪਉਰਖ ਨੈਕੁ ਬਸਾਯੋ ॥
chakr sudarasan ke tin agr na taahee ko paurakh naik basaayo |
Its strength seemed bedimmed before the discus (Sudarshan Chakra)
ਅੰਤ ਖਿਸਾਇ ਚਲੀ ਫਿਰ ਕੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਸੋਊ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਆਯੋ ॥੨੨੮੩॥
ant khisaae chalee fir kai kab sayaam kahai soaoo bhoopat aayo |2283|
Getting extremely angry, it went back and it destroyed the king Sudaksha.2283.

sree brij naaeik ko jin hoo kab sayaam bhanai neh dhayaan lagaayo |
He, who has not remembered Krishna
ਅਉਰ ਕਹਾ ਭਯੋ ਜਉ ਗੁਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੇ ਗਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਗੁਨ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਨ ਗਾਯੋ ॥
aaur kahaa bhayo jau gun kaahoo ke gaavat hai gun sayaam na gaayo |
What then if he had been singing the praises of others and never eulogised Krishna’
ਅਉਰ ਕਹਾ ਭਯੋ ਜਉ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁ ਗਨੇਸ ਮਹੇਸ ਮਨਾਯੋ ॥
aaur kahaa bhayo jau jagadees binaa su ganes mahes manaayo |
He had been adoring Shiva and Ganesha
ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਕਹੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਤਿਹ ਆਪਨੋ ਜਨਮ ਗਵਾਯੋ ॥੨੨੮੪॥
lok pralok kahai kab sayaam sadaa tih aapano janam gavaayo |2284|
According to the poet Shyam, he has wasted his precious birth in vain, withoutgetting any merit for this and the nest world.2284.

soaoo jeet kai chhor dayo ran mai nrip jo ran te kabahoon na ttarai |
After conquering the kings, unavoidable in fighting, they were released
ਦਈ ਕਾਟਿ ਸਹਸ੍ਰ ਭੁਜਾ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਜਿਹ ਤੇ ਫੁਨਿ ਚਉਦਹ ਲੋਕ ਡਰੈ ॥
dee kaatt sahasr bhujaa tih kee jih te fun chaudah lok ddarai |
He, from whom all the fourteen worlds felt frightened, his one thousand arms were chopped
ਕਰਿ ਕੰਚਨ ਧਾਮ ਦਏ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਦਿਜ ਮਾਗ ਸਦਾ ਜੋਊ ਪੇਟ ਭਰੈ ॥
kar kanchan dhaam de tih ko dij maag sadaa joaoo pett bharai |
The Brahmin (Sudama), who made his both ends meet by seeking the help of others,
ਫੁਨਿ ਰਾਖ ਕੈ ਲਾਜ ਲਈ ਦ੍ਰੁਪਦੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਬਿਨਾ ਐਸੀ ਕਉਨ ਕਰੈ ॥੨੨੮੫॥
fun raakh kai laaj lee drupadee brijanaath binaa aisee kaun karai |2285|
He was given the houses of gold and then the honour of Daraupadi was saved, who else can do all this except Krishna?2285.

ਗਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ਉਮਗ ਕੈ ਹੀਯੋ ॥੨੨੮੬॥

There he drank wine alongwith others and getting pleased, danced and sang.2286.
ਇਕ ਕਪਿ ਹੁਤੇ ਤਹਾ ਸੋ ਆਯੋ ॥

A monkey came there, who smashed the pitchers full of wine
ਫਾਧਤ ਭਯੋ ਰਤੀ ਕੁ ਨ ਡਰਿਯੋ ॥
faadhat bhayo ratee ku na ddariyo |
ਮੁਸਲੀਧਰਿ ਅਤਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਹਿ ਭਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੨੮੭॥
musaleedhar at krodheh bhariyo |2287|
He jumped here and there fearlessly and this enraged Balram.2287.

beer gajapur ke ruch so duhitaa ko drujodhan bayaah rachaayo |
ਭੂਪ ਜਿਤੇ ਭੂਅ ਮੰਡਲ ਕੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਉਤੁਕ ਹੇਰਬੇ ਕਾਜ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
bhoop jite bhooa manddal ke tin kautuk herabe kaaj bulaayo |
Duryodhana decided to marry the daughter of the king of Gajpur and called all the kings of the world to see the spectacle of marriage
ਅੰਧ ਕੇ ਪੂਤਹਿ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਰਚਿਯੋ ਸੋ ਸੁ ਤਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਦੁਆਰਵਤੀ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
andh ke pooteh bayaah rachiyo so su taahee ko duaaravatee sun paayo |
This news reached Dwarka that the son of Dhritrashtra has decided to marry the king’s daughter
ਸਾਬ ਹੁਤੋ ਇਕ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੋ ਬਾਲਕ ਜਾਬਵਤੀ ਹੂ ਤੇ ਸੋ ਚਲਿ ਆਯੋ ॥੨੨੮੯॥
saab huto ik kaanrah ko baalak jaabavatee hoo te so chal aayo |2289|
A son of Krishna named Samb went there form the abode of his mother Jambwati.2289.
ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਬਹੀਯਾ ਪੁਨਿ ਭੂਪ ਸੁਤਾ ਹੂ ਕੀ ਸ︀ਯੰਦਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਡਾਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
geh kai baheeyaa pun bhoop sutaa hoo kee sayandan bheetar ddaar sidhaariyo |
Samb caught hold of the arm of the king’s daughter and put her in his chariot
ਜੋ ਭਟ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਹਾਇ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਲਰਿਯੋ ਸੋਊ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਬਾਨ ਸੋ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
jo bhatt taeh sahaae ke kaaj lariyo soaoo ek hee baan so maariyo |
He killed with a single arrow the warriors, who were there for her support
ਧਾਇ ਪਰੇ ਛਿ ਰਥੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਘਨੋ ਦਲੁ ਲੈ ਜਬ ਭੂਪ ਪਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
dhaae pare chhi rathee mil kai su ghano dal lai jab bhoop pachaariyo |
ਜੁਧੁ ਭਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਠਉਰ ਘਨੋ ਸੋਊ ਯੌ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੨੯੦॥
judh bhayo tih tthaur ghano soaoo yau mukh te kab sayaam uchaariyo |2290|
When the king challenged, then six chariot-riders together fell upon him and there a dreadful war ensued.2290.
ਪਾਰਥ ਭੀਖਮ ਦ੍ਰੋਣ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਰੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪੀ ਸੁਤ ਕੋਪ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ॥
paarath bheekham dron kripaar kripee sut kop bhariyo man mai |
Arjuna, Bhisma, Drona, Kripacharya etc. were filled with anger
ਅਰੁ ਅਉਰ ਸੁ ਕਰਨ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਰਿਸ ਸੋਅ ਕਰੋਧ ਰੁ ਕਉਚ ਤਬੈ ਤਨ ਮੈ ॥
ar aaur su karan chaliyo ris soa karodh ru kauch tabai tan mai |
Karan also went wearing his very strong armour
ਛਬਿ ਪਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਸੋਊ ਯੌ ਇਨ ਸੂਰਨ ਕੇ ਗਨ ਮੈ ॥
chhab paavat bhayo kab sayaam bhanai soaoo yau in sooran ke gan mai |
ਜਿਮ ਸੂਰਜ ਸੋਭਤ ਦਿਵਤਨ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਸੋ ਛਬਿ ਪਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ਰਨ ਮੈ ॥੨੨੯੧॥
jim sooraj sobhat divatan mai ih so chhab paavat bhayo ran mai |2291|
He looked splendid among these warriors and it seemed that he was like Surya amongst gods.2291
ਜੰਗ ਭਯੋ ਜਿਹ ਠਉਰ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਸੁ ਛੂਟਤ ਭੇ ਦੁਹੂ ਓਰ ਤੇ ਭਾਲੇ ॥
jang bhayo jih tthaur nisang su chhoottat bhe duhoo or te bhaale |
A dreadful war was fought there, the lances and spears struck form both sides
ਘਾਇਲ ਲਾਗ ਭਜੇ ਭਟ ਯੌ ਮਨੋ ਖਾਇ ਚਲੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੇ ਸੁ ਨਿਵਾਲੇ ॥
ghaaeil laag bhaje bhatt yau mano khaae chale grih ke su nivaale |
The warriors, getting wounded were running like those going home for meals
ਬੀਰ ਫਿਰੈ ਅਤਿ ਘੂਮਤਿ ਹੀ ਸੁ ਮਨੋ ਅਤਿ ਪੀ ਮਦਰਾ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ॥
beer firai at ghoomat hee su mano at pee madaraa matavaale |
All the warriors appeared like the intoxicated persons roaring after drinking wine
ਬਾਸਨ ਤੇ ਧਨੁ ਅਉਰ ਨਿਖੰਗ ਫਿਰੈ ਰਨ ਬੀਚ ਖਤੰਗ ਪਿਆਲੇ ॥੨੨੯੨॥
baasan te dhan aaur nikhang firai ran beech khatang piaale |2292|
The bows and arrows were their vessels and lances their cups.2292.
ਸਾਬ ਸਰਾਸਨ ਲੈ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਬਹੁ ਬੀਰ ਹਨੇ ਤਿਹ ਠਉਰ ਕਰਾਰੇ ॥
saab saraasan lai kar mai bahu beer hane tih tthaur karaare |
Samb, taking his bow in his hand, killed many warriors
ਏਕਨ ਕੇ ਬਿਬ ਪਾਗ ਕਟੇ ਅਰੁ ਏਕਨ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਹੀ ਕਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
ekan ke bib paag katte ar ekan ke sir hee katt ddaare |
He knocked down the turbans and heads of many
ਅਉਰ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਭਜੇ ਭਟ ਯੌ ਉਪਮਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
aaur nihaar bhaje bhatt yau upamaa tin kee kab sayaam uchaare |
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਇ ਮਨੋ ਜਨ ਪੁੰਨਿ ਕੇ ਅਗ੍ਰਜ ਪਾਪ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥੨੨੯੩॥
saadh kee sangat paae mano jan pun ke agraj paap padhaare |2293|
Many warriors seeing this fled away like the sin before the virtue of the saintly company.2293.
ਏਕਨ ਕੀ ਦਈ ਕਾਟ ਭੁਜਾ ਅਰੁ ਏਕਨ ਕੈ ਕਰ ਹੀ ਕਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
ekan kee dee kaatt bhujaa ar ekan kai kar hee katt ddaare |
Someone’s arms and someone’s hands were cut down
ਏਕ ਕਟੈ ਅਧ ਬੀਚਹੁ ਤੇ ਰਥ ਕਾਟਿ ਰਥੀ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
ek kattai adh beechahu te rath kaatt rathee birathee kar maare |
Many were cut into two halves from the middle and many were deprived of their chariots by shattering them
ਸੀਸ ਕਟੇ ਭਟ ਠਾਢੇ ਰਹੇ ਇਕ ਸ੍ਰੋਣ ਉਠਿਓ ਛਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
sees katte bhatt tthaadte rahe ik sron utthio chhab sayaam uchaare |
The warriors whose heads were chopped, were standing and from their trunk,
ਬੀਰਨ ਕੋ ਮਨੋ ਬਾਗ ਬਿਖੈ ਜਨੁ ਫੂਟੇ ਹੈ ਸੁ ਅਨੇਕ ਫੁਹਾਰੇ ॥੨੨੯੪॥
beeran ko mano baag bikhai jan footte hai su anek fuhaare |2294|
The blood was flowing like the cataracts leaping in the forests.2294.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਜਬੈ ਬਹੁ ਬੀਰ ਹਨੇ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਚਹਿ ਕੈ ॥
sree jadubeer ke putr jabai bahu beer hane ran mai cheh kai |
ਇਕ ਭਾਜ ਗਏ ਨ ਮੁਰੇ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਇਕ ਘਾਇਲ ਆਇ ਪਰੇ ਸਹਿਕੈ ॥
eik bhaaj ge na mure bahuro ik ghaaeil aae pare sahikai |
When the son of Krishna in this way killed many warriors, then many other ran away and many writhed, being wounded
ਬਹੁ ਹੁਇ ਕੈ ਨਿਰਾਯੁਧ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਇਹ ਕੈ ਹਮ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਪਾਇ ਪਰੇ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ॥
bahu hue kai niraayudh hvai ih kai ham raakhahu paae pare keh kai |
Many of them deprived of their weapons, catching hold of the feet,
ਇਕ ਠਾਢੇ ਭਏ ਘਿਘਿਯਾਤ ਬਲੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਨ ਕੋ ਦੁਹੂ ਦਾਤਨ ਮੈ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ॥੨੨੯੫॥
eik tthaadte bhe ghighiyaat balee trin ko duhoo daatan mai geh kai |2295|
Begged for protection and many warriors, holding the blades of grass in their teeth stood imploring humbly.2295.
ਜੁਧੁ ਕੀਯੋ ਸੁਤ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਇਤੋ ਨਹਿ ਹੁਇ ਹੈ ਕਬੈ ਕਿਨ ਹੂ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
judh keeyo sut kaanrah ito neh hue hai kabai kin hoo nahee keeno |
The son of Krishna waged a unique war
ਦ੍ਵੈ ਘਟਿ ਆਠ ਰਥੀ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਤਿਨੋ ਹੂ ਤੇ ਏਕ ਬਲੀ ਨਹੀ ਹੀਨੋ ॥
dvai ghatt aatth rathee balavant tino hoo te ek balee nahee heeno |
He was not at all inferior in strength to the six chariot-riders in any way,
ਸੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪ ਪਰੇ ਸੁਤ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਊਪਰ ਜਾਨ ਨ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
so mil kai kar kop pare sut kaanrah ke aoopar jaan na deeno |
But they also together in their fury fell upon Samb, the son of Krishnal
ਰੋਸ ਬਢਾਇ ਮਚਾਇ ਕੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕੈ ਕੇਸਨ ਤੇ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨੋ ॥੨੨੯੬॥
ros badtaae machaae kai maar hankaar kai kesan te geh leeno |2296|
Getting infuriated and challenging and fighting with Samb, they caught him by his hair.2296.

ਦੇਖਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਸਾਧ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dekh dekh jeevaa saadh gur darasan jis hiradai naam muraaree |1| rahaau |
I live by continuously beholding the Blessed Vision of the Holy Guru's Darshan; within His Mind is the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਤੁਮ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਵਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਲਹ ਜੂਠਾਰੀ ॥
tum pavitr paavan purakh prabh suaamee ham kiau kar milah jootthaaree |
You are pure and immaculate, O God, Almighty Lord and Master; how can I, the impure one, meet You?
ਹਮਰੈ ਜੀਇ ਹੋਰੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਰੁ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਕੂੜਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥
hamarai jee hor mukh hor hot hai ham karamaheen koorriaaree |1|
I have one thing in my mind, and another thing on my lips; I am such a poor, unfortunate liar! ||1||
ਹਮਰੀ ਮੁਦ੍ਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਦੁਸਟ ਦੁਸਟਾਰੀ ॥
hamaree mudr naam har suaamee rid antar dusatt dusattaaree |
I appear to chant the Lord's Name, but within my heart, I am the most wicked of the wicked.
ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੫॥
jiau bhaavai tiau raakhahu suaamee jan naanak saran tumaaree |2|5|
As it pleases You, save me, O Lord and Master; servant Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary. ||2||5||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਹੈ ਨਕਟੀ ॥
har ke naam binaa sundar hai nakattee |
Without the Name of the Lord, the beautiful are just like the noseless ones.
ਜਿਉ ਬੇਸੁਆ ਕੇ ਘਰਿ ਪੂਤੁ ਜਮਤੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਿਓ ਹੈ ਧ੍ਰਕਟੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jiau besuaa ke ghar poot jamat hai tis naam pario hai dhrakattee |1| rahaau |
Like the son, born into the house of a prostitute, his name is cursed. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇ ਬਿਗੜ ਰੂਪ ਬੇਰਕਟੀ ॥
jin kai hiradai naeh har suaamee te bigarr roop berakattee |
Those who do not have the Name of their Lord and Master within their hearts, are the most wretched, deformed lepers.
ਜਿਉ ਨਿਗੁਰਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਾਤਾ ਜਾਣੈ ਓਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਹੈ ਭ੍ਰਸਟੀ ॥੧॥
jiau niguraa bahu baataa jaanai ohu har daragah hai bhrasattee |1|
Like the person who has no Guru, they may know many things, but they are cursed in the Court of the Lord. ||1||
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨਾ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਪਗ ਚਕਟੀ ॥
jin kau deaal hoaa meraa suaamee tinaa saadh janaa pag chakattee |
Those, unto whom my Lord Master becomes Merciful, long for the feet of the Holy.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵਿਤ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਛੈ ਛੁਕਟੀ ॥੨॥੬॥ ਛਕਾ ੧
naanak patit pavit mil sangat gur satigur paachhai chhukattee |2|6| chhakaa 1
O Nanak, the sinners become pure, joining the Company of the Holy; following the Guru, the True Guru, they are emancipated. ||2||6|| First Set of Six||

ਮਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
maaee gur charanee chit laaeeai |
O mother, I focus my consciousness on the Guru's feet.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਕਮਲੁ ਪਰਗਾਸੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
prabh hoe kripaal kamal paragaase sadaa sadaa har dhiaaeeai |1| rahaau |
As God shows His Mercy, the lotus of my heart blossoms, and forever and ever, I meditate on the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਸਮਾਈਐ ॥
antar eko baahar eko sabh meh ek samaaeeai |
The One Lord is within, and the One Lord is outside; the One Lord is contained in all.
ਘਟਿ ਅਵਘਟਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦਿਖਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
ghatt avaghatt raviaa sabh tthaaee har pooran braham dikhaaeeai |1|
Within the heart, beyond the heart, and in all places, God, the Perfect One, is seen to be permeating. ||1||
ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
ausatat kareh sevak mun kete teraa ant na katahoo paaeeai |
So many of Your servants and silent sages sing Your Praises, but no one has found Your limits.
ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੧॥
sukhadaate dukh bhanjan suaamee jan naanak sad bal jaaeeai |2|1|
O Giver of peace, Destroyer of pain, Lord and Master - servant Nanak is forever a sacrifice to You. ||2||1||

O mother, whatever is to be, shall be.
ਰਾਚਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਰਚਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਕਹਾ ਲਾਭੁ ਕਹਾ ਖੋਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raach rahio rachanaa prabh apanee kahaa laabh kahaa khoeeai |1| rahaau |
God pervades His pervading creation; one gains, while another loses. ||1||Pause||
ਕਹ ਫੂਲਹਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਿਖੈ ਸੋਗ ਕਬ ਹਸਨੋ ਕਬ ਰੋਈਐ ॥
keh fooleh aanand bikhai sog kab hasano kab roeeai |
Sometimes he blossoms in bliss, while at other times, he suffers in mourning. Sometimes he laughs, and sometimes he weeps.
ਕਬਹੂ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਕਬ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਧੋਈਐ ॥੧॥
kabahoo mail bhare abhimaanee kab saadhoo sang dhoeeai |1|
Sometimes he is filled with the filth of ego, while at other times, he washes it off in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||
ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਦੂਸਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਲੋਈਐ ॥
koe na mettai prabh kaa keea doosar naahee aloeeai |
No one can erase the actions of God; I cannot see any other like Him.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਸੋਈਐ ॥੨॥੨॥
kahu naanak tis gur balihaaree jih prasaad sukh soeeai |2|2|
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru; by His Grace, I sleep in peace. ||2||2||
