ਅਵਿਲੋਕਉ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਮੁਖਾਰਬਿੰਦ ॥
avilokau raam ko mukhaarabind |
I gaze on the Lotus-like Face of the Lord.
ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਬਿਸਰੀ ਸਭ ਚਿੰਦ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
khojat khojat ratan paaeo bisaree sabh chind |1| rahaau |
Searching and seeking, I have found the Jewel. I am totally rid of all anxiety. ||1||Pause||
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਰਿਦੈ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
charan kamal ridai dhaar |
Enshrining His Lotus Feet within my heart,
ਉਤਰਿਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਮੰਦ ॥੧॥
autariaa dukh mand |1|
pain and wickedness have been dispelled. ||1||
ਰਾਜ ਧਨੁ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਰਬਸੋ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥
raaj dhan paravaar merai sarabaso gobind |
The Lord of all the Universe is my kingdom, wealth and family.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਮਿ ਲਾਭੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਫਿਰਿ ਨ ਮਰੰਦ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੩੨॥
saadhasangam laabh paaeo naanak fir na marand |2|13|32|
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, Nanak has earned the Profit; he shall never die again. ||2||13||32||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੂਜਹੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਿ ॥
prabh poojaho naam araadh |
Worship God, and adore His Name.
ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਾਗਿ ॥
gur satigur charanee laag |
Grasp the Feet of the Guru, the True Guru.
ਹਰਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਗਾਧਿ ॥
har paavahu man agaadh |
The Unfathomable Lord shall come into your mind,
ਜਗੁ ਜੀਤੋ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾਧਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jag jeeto ho ho gur kirapaadh |1| rahaau |
and by Guru's Grace, you shall be victorious in this world. ||1||Pause||
ਅਨਿਕ ਪੂਜਾ ਮੈ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਖੋਜੀ ਸਾ ਪੂਜਾ ਜਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਾਸਿ ॥
anik poojaa mai bahu bidh khojee saa poojaa ji har bhaavaas |
I have studied countless ways of worship in all sorts of ways, but that alone is worship, which is pleasing to the Lord's Will.
ਮਾਟੀ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਪੁਤਰੀ ਜੋਰੀ ਕਿਆ ਏਹ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਸਿ ॥
maattee kee ih putaree joree kiaa eeh karam kamaas |
This body-puppet is made of clay - what can it do by itself?
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਸੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੰਤ ਮਿਲਾਸਿ ॥੧॥
prabh baah pakar jis maarag paavahu so tudh jant milaas |1|
O God, those humble beings meet You, whom You grasp by the arm, and place on the Path. ||1||
ਅਵਰ ਓਟ ਮੈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਇਕ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਮੈ ਆਸ ॥
avar ott mai koe na soojhai ik har kee ott mai aas |
I do not know of any other support; O Lord, You are my only Hope and Support.
ਕਿਆ ਦੀਨੁ ਕਰੇ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
kiaa deen kare aradaas |
I am meek and poor - what prayer can I offer?
ਜਉ ਸਭ ਘਟਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥
jau sabh ghatt prabhoo nivaas |
God abides in every heart.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਨਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਸ ॥
prabh charanan kee man piaas |
My mind is thirsty for the Feet of God.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਹੀਅਤੁ ਹੈ ਤੁਮੑਰਾ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਸ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੩॥
jan naanak daas kaheeat hai tumaraa hau bal bal sad bal jaas |2|1|33|
Servant Nanak, Your slave, speaks: I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, forever a sacrifice to You. ||2||1||33||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਜਗਤ ਉਧਾਰਨ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਤੇਰੈ ॥
jagat udhaaran naam pria terai |
Your Name, O my Beloved, is the Saving Grace of the world.
ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੇਰੈ ॥
nav nidh naam nidhaan har kerai |
The Lord's Name is the wealth of the nine treasures.
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗ ਅਨੂਪੇਰੈ ॥
har rang rang rang anooperai |
One who is imbued with the Love of the Incomparably Beautiful Lord is joyful.
ਕਾਹੇ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਗਨੇਰੈ ॥
kaahe re man mohi maganerai |
O mind, why do you cling to emotional attachments?
ਨੈਨਹੁ ਦੇਖੁ ਸਾਧ ਦਰਸੇਰੈ ॥
nainahu dekh saadh daraserai |
With your eyes, gaze upon the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of the Holy.
ਸੋ ਪਾਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਲਿਲੇਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
so paavai jis likhat lilerai |1| rahaau |
They alone find it, who have such destiny inscribed upon their foreheads. ||1||Pause||
ਸੇਵਉ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨੇਰੈ ॥
sevau saadh sant charanerai |
I serve at the feet of the Holy Saints.
ਬਾਂਛਉ ਧੂਰਿ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰੇਰੈ ॥
baanchhau dhoor pavitr karerai |
I long for the dust of their feet, which purifies and sanctifies.
ਅਠਸਠਿ ਮਜਨੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਕਟੇਰੈ ॥
atthasatth majan mail katterai |
Just like the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage, it washes away filth and pollution.
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਮੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਮੋਰੈ ॥
saas saas dhiaavahu mukh nahee morai |
With each and every breath I meditate on Him, and never turn my face away.
ਕਿਛੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਲਾਖ ਕਰੋਰੈ ॥
kichh sang na chaalai laakh karorai |
Of your thousands and millions, nothing shall go along with you.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਤਿ ਪੁਕਰੋਰੈ ॥੧॥
prabh jee ko naam ant pukarorai |1|
Only the Name of God will call to you in the end. ||1||
ਮਨਸਾ ਮਾਨਿ ਏਕ ਨਿਰੰਕੇਰੈ ॥
manasaa maan ek nirankerai |
Let it be your wish to honor and obey the One Formless Lord.
ਸਗਲ ਤਿਆਗਹੁ ਭਾਉ ਦੂਜੇਰੈ ॥
sagal tiaagahu bhaau doojerai |
Abandon the love of everything else.
ਕਵਨ ਕਹਾਂ ਹਉ ਗੁਨ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਤੇਰੈ ॥
kavan kahaan hau gun pria terai |
What Glorious Praises of Yours can I utter, O my Beloved?
ਬਰਨਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਉ ਏਕ ਟੁਲੇਰੈ ॥
baran na saakau ek ttulerai |
I cannot describe even one of Your Virtues.
ਦਰਸਨ ਪਿਆਸ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਮਨਿ ਮੇਰੈ ॥
darasan piaas bahut man merai |
My mind is so thirsty for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan.
ਮਿਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰ ਕੇਰੈ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੪॥
mil naanak dev jagat gur kerai |2|1|34|
Please come and meet Nanak, O Divine Guru of the World. ||2||1||34||
